#uzay #marte #monteolimpo #mars #astronomia 🚀🌌
This is Phobos, the larger of Mars’ two moons, compared here to New York City 🏙️. Even though it looks massive in this visual, Phobos is actually only about 22 km across — small enough to fit within a major city. But what makes Phobos truly insane is its orbit 🚀. It circles Mars at a distance of just 6,000 km, making it one of the closest-orbiting moons in the entire solar system. Because of this, it rises and sets twice every Martian day. Its surface is heavily cratered and irregular 🪨, dominated by a massive impact crater called Stickney, which nearly tore the moon apart. Gravity here is extremely weak — you could literally jump and escape it with enough force. And here’s the wild part… Phobos isn’t permanent ⏳. Scientists believe that in about 30–50 million years, it will either break apart into a ring around Mars or crash into the planet. Follow (us) @worldofastronomers for more crazy videos!!! 🌍 Mount Everest: 8,848 m (29,032 ft) 🔴 Olympus Mons (Mars): 21,229 m (69,649 ft) Olympus Mons is the largest volcano and tallest mountain in the Solar System. If it stood on Earth, it would tower over Everest and stretch so wide that you'd barely notice the slope while climbing it. This comparison shows just how extraordinary our cosmic neighborhood really is. 🚀🌌 Would you dare climb a mountain that's over 2 times taller than Everest? #Space #Mars #OlympusMons #MountEverest #Astronomy ScienceFacts Universe SpaceFacts Reels DidYouKnow EarthVsMars MindBlown 🤯⛰️🚀

You were taught the Solar System wrong. ☀️🌍 Most of us imagine the Solar System as a simple diagram. The Sun sitting in the middle. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and the other planets calmly going around it in neat circles. But that picture leaves out something enormous. The Sun is moving too. Our entire Solar System is orbiting the center of the Milky Way at roughly 828,000 kilometers per hour. And Earth is moving with it. So while Earth is orbiting the Sun, the Sun itself is carrying the planets, asteroids, comets and other objects of the Solar System through the galaxy. We aren't tracing the same path through space over and over again. Our entire planetary system is traveling. Think about that. Earth is spinning on its axis. Earth is orbiting the Sun. The Sun is orbiting the center of the Milky Way. And the Milky Way itself is moving through the universe. There is no true cosmic picture where everything is simply sitting still. Even the objects that look stationary from our perspective are part of enormous movements happening on completely different scales. NASA estimates that our Solar System takes about 230 million years to complete one trip around the center of the Milky Way. The last time the Solar System was in roughly this position in its galactic orbit... humans didn't exist. Dinosaurs were still millions of years in the future. And now you're here... reading this while traveling through space at hundreds of thousands of kilometers per hour. You don't feel it because you're moving along with everything around you. The universe isn't standing still. Neither are we. 🌌 💬 Did you already know that the entire Solar System is moving through the Milky Way? 📌 Save this Reel for later. 📤 Share it with someone who thinks the Sun is sitting still. The hype for space in 2015 was insane 😭 Credit: unknown 🎥: The Martian (2015) follows astronaut Mark Watney, who is accidentally left behind on Mars after his crew believes he has died during a violent storm. Stranded millions of miles from Earth with limited supplies, Watney must use his intelligence, engineering skills, and determination to survive while scientists at NASA and his fellow astronauts work tirelessly to bring him home. Starring Matt Damon, the film was directed by Ridley Scott and based on the novel by Andy Weir. The movie received widespread acclaim for its realistic approach to science, engaging humor, and inspiring story of perseverance, making it one of the most celebrated science-fiction films of the 2010s.
Everest is Earth's highest natural mountain above sea level, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made building, and Mount Olympus is the legendary home of Greek gods (while Olympus Mons on Mars is the solar system's tallest volcano). #learning #theories #universe #physics
Mount Everest looks enormous… until you compare it to Olympus Mons. 🏔️🔴 At 8,849 meters (29,032 ft), Mount Everest is Earth’s highest peak. But on Mars stands Olympus Mons—the largest volcano in the Solar System—rising about 21.9 km (13.6 miles) above the surrounding plains, nearly 2.5 times taller than Everest. Its true scale is even more astonishing. Olympus Mons stretches roughly 600 km (370 miles) across. Standing at its base, the gentle slopes and the curvature of Mars would make the summit impossible to see from the ground. Why is it so huge? Mars has only about 38% of Earth’s gravity and lacks active plate tectonics. Instead of drifting over volcanic hotspots, the Martian crust stayed in place, allowing lava to build the same volcano for hundreds of millions of years. Mind-blowing fact: The cliffs surrounding Olympus Mons reach up to 8 km (5 miles) high—among the tallest known escarpments in the Solar System. 🜂 The Alchemical Layer The universe reminds us that “big” is always relative.
