Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic neurological condition that affects the brain and spinal cord.
It is unpredictable.
It is often invisible.
And it impacts millions of lives worldwide.
Symptoms can include fatigue, vision problems, numbness, pain, balance issues, cognitive changes, and more â even when someone âlooks fine.â
This month is about:
⢠Raising awareness
⢠Encouraging early diagnosis
⢠Breaking stigma
⢠Supporting research
⢠Standing with the MS community
Understanding creates empathy.
Awareness creates change.
Letâs educate. Letâs support. Letâs stand together. đ¤

March is MS Awareness Month.
What is MS?
Multiple Sclerosis is a disease where the bodyâs immune system mistakenly attacks the myelin, the protective layer around the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. When myelin is damaged, nerve signals slow down or stop, causing symptoms like fatigue, numbness, vision problems, and difficulty walking. These symptoms are different for everyone. There is currently no cure for MS, but treatments have come a long way and can help manage symptoms and slow the disease down.

Today I turned 42 and Iâm reflecting on life and our purpose here.
Just a few years ago I was in a very different state of mind. Stillness, appreciation, even acceptance felt impossible. Anxiety and stress ruled my life and I couldnât see a way out of that vicious cycle.
Around that time, a doctor told me that with Multiple Sclerosis I would most likely be in a wheelchair by now.
But no one else gets to write our story.
I often wonder what my life would look like if I hadnât made all the mistakes along the way⌠if I hadnât struggled, searched, questioned everything.
But then I remember: every situation, every relationship, every challenge taught me something I needed to learn.
They led me to mindfulness, healing, and learning how to truly listen to my body.
And today, at 42, I see aging differently.
It doesnât have to be a slow decline.
Sometimes itâs a slow awakening â an opportunity to live more consciously and take better care of ourselves than ever before. Thank you all for your support here and in our community. It means so much to me. đ§Ą

Itâs March, #msawarenessmonth, and if you have #multiplesclerosis like me, what are some things youâve lost and what are some things youâve gained after your diagnosis? Tell me in the comments.
If you need a cane, I got mine from @fashionablecanes and itâs great!

You wouldnât let just anybody touch your hair, right?
You do your research, ask for recommendations, and find a stylist who understands your hair, your needs, and your vibe.
Your healthcare should be the exact same way. If you have a bad experience with a doctor, donât just accept it â find another one. Your health is too important to settle for providers who donât listen, donât take you seriously, or donât have your best interest at heart.
Be willing to put in the effort, to go a little out of your way if needed, to make sure youâre connecting with the right doctors. Because just like the right stylist can change your confidence, the right healthcare team can change your life.
Weâre talking about why this matters in Shop Chats. Watch the full conversation at the link in our bio. đ§Ą
