Competition. Precision. Marine Corps excellence. 🏆🎯 Marines from east of the Mississippi went head-to-head at the 2026 Marine Corps Marksmanship Competition–East at Stone Bay Rifle Range aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Through demanding day and night firing events, competitors test their skill, push their limits, and prove who stands among the Corps’ best marksmen. Every shot counts. Every point matters. The competition builds sharper shooters and a more lethal force.
Saint Barbara’s day has always been a refuel event for me. Ever since I left the artillery community something has been missing in my career. This event has allowed me to reconnect with the warriors I served with in 11th Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. Always make it a point to revisit the great parts of your career with the people you sweat and bled with. #usmc #marines #artillery @gkoareed @samanthaguerrero355 @11thmcg

DRILL INSTRUCTORS: FORGING THE NEXT GENERATION OF MARINES 🗣️😈 Marine Corps Drill Instructors are elite Marines responsible for transforming civilians into Marines during the demanding 13-week recruit training. Selected from top Non-Commissioned Officers in the Corps, they attend Drill Instructor School before earning the iconic campaign cover. Drill Instructors instill discipline, confidence, and the core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, while training recruits in physical fitness, drill, teamwork, and the warrior mindset needed to succeed in the Marine Corps. Recently, the RSS Allentown Station Commander, SSgt Preston, had the honor of speaking with two Drill Instructors from Parris Island, Sgt Griffin and Sgt Bartolomeo, who shared their insights into why they became Marines and gave great advice to those who are considering the path of earning the EAGLE, GLOBE, and ANCHOR. Tested. Pushed. Earned. 🇺🇸 Today our cadets took on the Marine Corps CFT and they were challenged every step of the way. From the Movement to Contact, to Ammo Can Lifts, to the Maneuver Under Fire, they dug deep and proved what discipline, grit, and heart look like. This wasn’t just about physical strength — it was about mental toughness, teamwork, and refusing to quit. A huge thank you to the @mckinneymarines for coming out and supporting our program. Your mentorship and presence mean more than you know. We were also honored with a special visit from our former cadet, now United States Marine, PFC Padron. Seeing one of our own wearing the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor is powerful motivation for the next generation. Proud of every cadet who stepped on the field today. Semper Fi. 💪🇺🇸
