Josh Conway and Adam Chaudry entered Shark Tank Season 13 with Handy Pan, a non-stick skillet featuring a built-in strainer designed to simplify everyday cooking. They asked for $10,000 in exchange for 20% equity, valuing the company modestly. At the time, total sales were under $8,000, and the founders openly admitted they had done little to no marketing.
That honesty, combined with the product’s simplicity, caught Lori Greiner’s attention. She accepted their offer, seeing potential in a tool that solved a small but real kitchen problem. After the episode aired, Handy Pan sold out quickly, showing how visibility alone can unlock demand when a product resonates.
Today, the pan is still available online, including through the company’s website and third-party Amazon sellers, with the price now closer to $49.99. Customer interest remains steady, but the business has not expanded significantly into retail or built a strong social media presence. Growth has been incremental rather than explosive.
The deeper lesson is clear. A clever invention can open the door, but sustained success depends on execution. Products do not scale on novelty alone. They scale when usefulness is paired with consistent marketing, distribution, and long-term visibility.

Pre-product-market fit is the stage where a startup is still discovering whether its product truly solves a meaningful problem for a specific group of users.
The focus isn’t scale yet; it’s learning, talking to customers, testing ideas, refining the product, and validating demand.
Capturing this stage well means identifying a strong problem-solution match before competitors notice.
If a company reaches product-market fit early, it can scale faster, attract investment, and build loyalty.
Getting this right saves huge resources and positions the startup to grow rapidly once demand becomes obvious.

Being in the wrong market will drain you faster than a bad product.
Most people don’t fail because they lack effort; they fail because they’re selling to people who aren’t there…
...Or don’t care.
Before scaling, posting, or pushing harder, get the foundations right.
Who actually needs this?
And do they know they need it?
People don’t buy what you’re building.
They buy what they want solved.
Have you ever realised you were talking to the wrong audience?

🚀 Want real product scale?
Build something people need every single day.
Big wealth doesn’t come from “flashy” ideas — it comes from solving one repeatable problem for one specific group of users.
📱 Apple focused on phones, not computers — because phones are daily.
💼 Slack and Zoom? Same story.
They became part of people’s workflow, and that’s why they’re irreplaceable.
If your product becomes a habit, scale and profit follow naturally. 💥

💭 90 Seconds To Success — Test Your Product or Service
Today’s episode is about testing — because assumptions don’t build businesses, feedback does. Before you scale, you need to know what actually works.
Here’s why testing matters:
• 🧪 It reveals real demand. The market will tell you what’s resonating.
• 🔁 It reduces risk. Small tests prevent big mistakes.
• 📈 It guides improvement. Data and feedback show you what to refine next.
Test early. Test often. Let the results—not opinions—shape your next move.

A flawless pitch isn’t everything—what truly matters is the value your product brings. 🧠 You can stumble on words, but if your solution solves a real problem, people will notice. Let your product speak for itself. 💼 In the end, execution beats perfection. So show up, keep building, and believe in what you’ve created. 🚀
