In honor of Endometriosis Awareness Month, it is also important to recognize the struggles that many people face seeking medical support. Here is Annmarie sharing her experience of the challenges she faced seeking medical care. Let’s continue to raise awareness! #endometriosis #endometriosisawarenessmonth #endometriosisawareness #reproductivehealth #sexualhealth
Endometriosis is often misunderstood as simply painful periods. In reality, it is a complex inflammatory disease that can affect multiple systems throughout the body.
In this conversation with @meganhealytv, we discuss why endometriosis is often considered a whole-body disease — and why treatment frequently involves more than surgery alone.
Effective care may involve a multidisciplinary team working together to support patients before and after surgery.
This whole-person approach is exactly what we’ll be discussing at our upcoming community education event with @sharphealthcare.

Endometriosis Update. !!#womensupportingwomen #endometriosisawarenessmonth
500+ voices. One message: endometriosis care must change.
This weekend, we hosted Advances in Endometriosis Care with @sharphealthcare — bringing together patients, providers, and advocates from across the country.
Endometriosis is a whole-body disease.
And treatment is more than surgery.
It requires a care team — from diagnosis to surgery to long-term management.
Thank you to Sharp HealthCare, Sharp Health Foundation, and @intuitivesurgical for your partnership — and to our incredible panelists, patient advocates, and community who showed up, shared, and supported one another.
The questions were powerful. The need is real.
Patients still have to fight to be heard — and we need to do better.
This starts with education, community, and access to the right care team.
We’re just getting started. 🌼

10/10 art for @endometriosis.uk ❤️🩹
Visualising my pain as a demonic shadow cat due to sharp scratching pains, swelling and pressure I often feel throughout the month 🩸
Also wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who has donated or shared my fundraising page 🥹❤️🩹- endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women with chronic pain yet it has received less funding and research then male baldness 🫠
I am in a very strange combination of feelings towards my upcoming laparoscopy; desperate to get it done so I can find some answers to my pain 🤞 and absolutely papping my pants 💩
Even though I haven’t received a diagnosis yet all my doctors and gynaecologist have said I have textbook symptoms of endo and I have to remind myself that even if I don’t, my pain is still very real and I’m allowed to raise awareness about this important cause because not only me but so many women I know suffer with similar problems and have had very little support, I hope in the future, if my daughter or my nieces ever have similar issues, the world will be a more knowledgeable and understanding place ❤️🩹
The discovery of alleged malpractice by an endometriosis specialist has sharpened calls for an action plan to protect sufferers, as recommended by a landmark inquiry last year.
One of the hardest parts of living with endometriosis is that so much of the experience is invisible.
From the outside, people may see someone going to work, showing up for family, or moving through their day like everything is normal.
But inside, the reality can be very different.
Chronic pelvic pain.
Severe fatigue.
Inflammation that affects the entire body.
Hormonal shifts that impact mood and energy.
Many women spend years trying to explain what they are feeling while hearing things like:
“You look fine.”
“It can’t be that bad.”
“Everyone has cramps.”
Endometriosis Awareness Month is not just about sharing information.
It’s about helping people understand that pain does not always look visible.
Awareness means believing women when they talk about their bodies.
It means supporting better research, earlier diagnosis, and compassionate care.
And inside communities like this one, awareness also means something powerful:
Women finally being able to say,
“This is what I’m experiencing,”
and hearing someone respond,
“I understand.”
If you’re comfortable sharing, let’s talk about it:
💛 What is one thing you wish more people understood about living with endometriosis?
Your voice matters, and your experience deserves to be heard.

In honor of Endometriosis Awareness Month, we asked community members to share their experiences. In this clip, we have Annmarie talking about her experience learning that she has endometriosis. #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness #reproductivehealth
Not everyday you go on the news and share such vulnerable details about your health, but it needs speaking about. #endometriosis #thoracicendometriosis
My goal with this artwork was to strip away the “invisible” nature of endometriosis. We are told to push through, but the reality is a constant, multi front battle within our own bodies. 1 in 10 live with this everyday. It’s time we stop normalizing debilitating pain 💛 To my fellow endo warriors: I see you, and your pain is valid.#endoawareness #endowarrior #kimberlyannhallart #endometriosisawarenessmonth #endometriosisartist
Endometriosis Awareness goes beyond this month. Continue to raise awareness and support for those who have endometriosis. Thank you, Annmarie, for allowing us to share your story. #endometriosis #endometriosisawarenessmonth #endometriosisawareness #reproductivehealth #sexualhealth
March is endometriosis awareness month.
.
I have struggled with endometriosis for about 10 years.
.
I fought for 5 years until I got a diagnosis.
.
I have been diagnosed for 2 years now.
.
Endo has compromised my mental health, mobility, nervous system, bladder functions, and GI.
.
Endo wrapped itself around my nerves and has caused difficult to treat, complex nerve pain.
.
Endo has caused permanent damage to my pelvic muscles, causing me to have debilitating muscle spasms.
.
Endo has done more damage to me than I could put into words.
.
Endo is HELL.
.
(I saw someone make a similar video to this, but I can’t find it)
