What if I told you that for 30 years, we have been laughing at a Pokemon who rewrote his entire existence just to be loved? This is Team Rocket's Meowth from the anime. And in three decades of Pokemon, he is still the only one who taught himself to speak human language. Not because he was special, but because he was desperate. He fell in love with a Meowth named Meowzie who told him she only loved humans. So he decided to become one. He hid in the rafters of a ballet class and forced his body to walk on two legs. He listened to a speech class and repeated words until his meows became sentences. It took him over a year. The first word he ever understood was rocket. But here is what they do not tell you. Learning to walk and talk cost him everything. Meowth cannot use Pay Day. The signature move of his entire species. He traded his power for the chance to be loved. And when he finally returned to Meowzie, walking upright, speaking perfect human, holding flowers he saved up to buy... she looked at him and said he was a freak. Worse than before. He literally became something new and she hated him more for it. For 30 years we have watched him fail to catch Pikachu. But the real tragedy is that Meowth already caught what he was chasing. He just never got to keep it. ⬇️ Question: Have you ever given up a part of yourself for someone who still was not satisfied? Tell me in the comments. Some scenes from Pokémon just stayed with you. This one always did for me. One Meowth taught himself to talk just to try to be loved. The other could only say “Meowth.” But somehow they still understood each other. Pokémon always had these little lessons tucked into the story. We watched it for the battles when we were kids, but moments like this were always there. Anyone else remember this scene? #pokemon #pokemonthefirstmovie #meowth #pokemonanime

In this hilarious snippet from the Pokémon: Black & White series, Meowth and Oshawott find themselves competing for the affection of a seemingly charming Purrloin. Meowth goes all out, presenting a massive bouquet of roses and pleading for a date to become a "happy Pokémon." However, the romantic tension is instantly shattered when Purrloin’s trainer reveals a shocking truth: "Purrloin is a guy." The video ends with the priceless, soul-crushing reactions of both Meowth and Oshawott as they realize their mistake. #PokemonMemes #Meowth #AnimeFunny #EmotionalDamage #PokemonBlackAndWhite

GASTLY — TEMPORAL FORCES Video & Card Illustration Inspired by: Mousho Gastly has always felt more like a presence than a Pokémon. In the games and anime it drifts quietly through dark places — abandoned buildings, foggy streets, anywhere the atmosphere feels a little eerie. It doesn’t rush into battle, it just appears, watching from the shadows. Raw near-mint copies usually sit around $40–60 USD (~$55–80 CAD). PSA 10 copies tend to land around $300–350 USD (~$405–475 CAD). The artwork really leans into that ghostly feeling. Gastly floats through a dimly lit neighborhood, but if you look closely there’s a tiny detail in the bottom right — a small Meowth peeking into the scene. It almost feels like Meowth just noticed Gastly drifting by and isn’t quite sure what to do about it. That little moment makes the card feel more alive, like a snapshot of a strange encounter rather than just a Pokémon pose. Are you keeping this raw, or grading it for the long term? #gastly #meowth #temporalforces #pokemoncards #psa10

Near Cerulean City on Route 5, where our childhood adventures began, Meowth is still chilling on that branch. Some things never change. 💛 Animation edit by @poke.rares Original illustration by Uninori #pokemonart #pokemon #animation #meowth #wallpaper

Prepare for trouble... Make it double. And just like that, a legend was born. 😼✨ The first full Team Rocket motto landed during episode 2 where Ash rushed Pikachu to the Pokemon Centre after surviving an attack by a herd of Spearows. Jessie: "To protect the world from devastation!" James: "To unite all peoples within our nation!" Jessie: "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" James: "To extend our reach to the stars above!" Jessie: "Jessie!" James: "James!" Meowth: "Meowth! That's right!" Every single one of us memorized this speech as kids. And we still know it by heart. For 20+ years, they chased Pikachu, failed, and blasted off again. And we loved every second of it. #BulbaboomGaming #Pokemon #TeamRocket #JessieAndJames #Meowth #PokemonEmergency #PokemonEpisode2 #PrepareForTrouble #90sKids #Nostalgia #PokemonAnime #IconicMoments #PokemonCommunity
