Perfect Houseplant Soil Mix
#ad | My go-to soil mix for all my plants✨ ⬇️ I mixed together @miraclegro Potting Mix, perlite, and orchid bark to get that light, chunky, breathable texture roots thrive in. This is the exact blend I use for everything I grow in soil 🤍 My mix ratio: 🌿 50% Miracle-Gro Potting Mix 🟤 25% perlite 🌳 25% orchid bark This combo stays airy, prevents compaction, and still holds the perfect amount of moisture for strong, consistent growth. Perfect root balance every time ✨ If you want the same products, comment “miracle” and I’ll send you the links! 🌿 #miraclegro #rareplantninja #plantmix #repottingday #houseplantcare #plantshelfie #plantlover #alocasia #houseplants

My go-to recipe ⤵️ 🌱 20L premium potting mix (I use Osmocote) 🌬 5 cups coarse perlite Why this combo works (and keeps plants alive): • Premium potting mix gives your plant the nutrients, structure, and moisture-holding ability it needs to grow strong roots — without compacting straight away. • Coarse perlite boosts drainage and airflow, stopping soggy soil, root rot, and that “why is my plant sad for no reason” spiral. Together? You get soil that drains well, holds enough moisture, and lets roots breathe — aka the sweet spot most houseplants thrive in. If you want to know when to tweak this mix, how it changes for different plants, light levels, or pots, it’s all broken down step-by-step in my plant care guide 🌿 👉 Comment “GUIDE” for the link and stop guessing. Remember, you’re not bad at plants, you just need a little guidance. Peace out plant people ✌🏾🤍 You’ve got this

Time to mix up my go-to soil recipe 🌱✨ This blend keeps my plants happy, healthy, and thriving ☺️ • 2 parts local soil mix (I get mine from @broadway_gardens ) • 2 parts orchid bark • 1 part perlite It’s the perfect balance of moisture & drainage so your roots don’t get soggy but still get what they need 🤍
Comment SOIL for links to ingredients! I’ve been using this mix for over a decade and it hasn’t failed me! It’s the perfect amount of moisture retention and airflow to roots. Can be used for indoor AND outdoor plants! Mix up a big batch & be ready for spring repots 🙌🏻 It’s truly the best houseplant soil mix I’ve found. The potting soil I use is high quality & nutrient dense, the bark is a great size and the perlite is dust-free! Do you have repotting plans? Mix up a batch of this first! Your houseplants will thank you 🫶🏻
Step-by-step guide to transitioning from soil to PON 🌿 In this video, I used an Aglaonema and a Monstera seedling to show you a safe and clean way to move your plants from soil to PON. This method reduces root issues, improves oxygen flow, and gives you better control over watering in the long run. Save this for later if you're planning to switch to semi-hydro. #plants #serialplantist #green
Yikes!! You just checked the roots on your favorite plant and it looks like a giant bowl of cooked spaghetti... No worries, here’s what you’re going to do! 1. Unpot your plant (if there are roots through the drainage hole, carefully weave them back through). 2. Grab a new planter that is two inches wider in diameter. 3. Use the plant to measure how much soil you need to add to the bottom of the planter. 4. Fill the bottom, place the plant in, and keep adding potting mix till the plant is secure. 5. Add all our @happyhappyhousplant products to your watering can to help your plant thrive in its new home. Hope that helps If you have any questions about root bound plants or repotting, ask away!
