The best part about Midwest House? The friendships we made along the way.🫶What started as a backyard party nine years ago, thrown by Midwest House’s founders @heydaylab, @tedvelie, and @mypalpeter, has morphed into bar-takeover activation that requires 22 ultra-talented Midwesterners to run it. Here’s a lineup of the squad! 🎸 For all things music, we’ve got @thepeterfox heading up the team, with support from @trailbeers, Kevin Wilks, and @bethanyrabbitt. 📋 @heydaylab is THE production goddess, overseeing all the spreadsheets and day-to-day tasks. @rymurf, @trailbeers, and @juice_mon are there to back her up and do the heavy lifting. 🪩 New this year, we brought on an events planning team @fmllcevents, led by Nina Payne, who brought lots of helping hands to greet guests, reset the stage, run errands, and do all the stuff that’s gotta be done. 🧢 All of our sweet merch was created by @the.oddest with @_edgarh_ running the shop all weekend long. 🎨 @mypalpeter (AKA @peterjacobkindcreative) runs all things design but is mainly in charge of the space. Multi-faceted creative talent @amydaydesign makes all of Peter’s ideas come to life in brilliant color. ⚡️The branding, social planning and posting, and copywriting is all thanks to the @lydia_writes_good team. (They are ones writing this very post! 👋🏻) 📸 @carbonstories came along with us this year to capture content, like this video, and brought a bunch of their besties along for the ride. 🫡 And last but not least, we’ve got @tedvelie who heads up the whole thing, bringin’ people together and all of that good stuff. Oh, and a shoutout to our amazing team at @halfstepbar. Y’all are honorary Midwesterners. #midwesthouse

I'd been an Airbnb househacker for the last few years (renting out rooms in my Midwest house) and Luis had an apartment that was vacant that we needed to do something with. So, Airbnb!
