It’s been a week since he left 🥺. I have done my best to keep busy and haven’t fully let myself feel it with the exception of that day. It helps knowing we will be at his graduation soon. Sometimes it hits me seeing his truck parked at the house or going downstairs to his empty room. The hardest part is not being able to send him letters or packages like in the beginning of his journey at Basic Training in the army. As his mama, I worry. There is an empty space in my heart since he got on the plane.
I’m so proud of my soldier. I can’t imagine what he’s been through, but I know he is growing up and doing what’s best for him and his future 💚
