Thumb Mine Amethyst ! 💜 We are pleased to introduce this beautiful amethyst from a brand new mine in goboboseb called the "thumb mine" This locale is close to the now closed "pinky mine" 💜 This is our first time properly being introduced to the thumb mine material and we can say it exceeded our expectations when we had the pleasure to open it today ☺️ Every locale has distinguishing characteristics One thing that jumped out to us immediately was the 6 sided luster of these amethyst crystals ✨️ It certainly changes the entire dynamic of the saturation of color, and really lets the piece "open-up" when viewing 💜 Overall we are so pleased and impressed with this amethyst and are grateful for the opportunity to steward these pieces and find them homes in our upcoming live sale 🫶 Friday • 9/11 • 8pm EST 💜 #motherofminerals #namibianminerals #amethyst #crystalcollector #mineralcollection

I was not emotionally prepared for aquamarines this big. 😳🌊 At the 2026 Hardrock Summit in Denver, Colorado, I found three glorious aquamarine specimens that each stopped me in my tracks: 1️⃣ A sprawling matrix covered in enormous, icy-blue aquamarine crystals—an entire aquamarine landscape. 2️⃣ A towering crystal cluster so dramatic that we needed a hand beside it just to prove the scale was real. 3️⃣ A spectacular Brazilian aquamarine specimen from Marambaia, Caraí, Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais. It measures nearly 10 inches tall and weighs 7 kilograms—more than 15 pounds! Aquamarine is the greenish-blue to blue variety of beryl. Emerald is another color variety of that same mineral. Aquamarine commonly grows as six-sided prismatic crystals, and exceptional examples can become remarkably large, clean, and transparent. I could have stared at these all day—but now you have to choose. Some pieces deserve another look. This rhodochrosite is absolutely one of them. 🤯❤️ Previously in Stephen Smale’s collection, it’s just totally a perfect object. A perfectly isolated rhombohedral crystal, incredible luster, and an aesthetic that makes it hard to put down. Zero epoxy. Zero repairs. Pristine condition. 🙌 These are the things I chase. Minerals that feel like they’ve been preserved in a time capsule, never tampered with, and already so good that nothing needs to be improved. Mother Nature did the work.
