It’s always exciting to see contestants take the stage as they compete in their local qualifier on the road to the state pageant in May. And the fun didn’t stop there — I even had the honor of helping with the crowning moment! 👑 Nothing beats seeing that look of excitement and accomplishment when a new queen is crowned. Living up to the expectations as a queen👑 Once you become a titleholder, there are countless expectations you have to face — written and unwritten, from your directors, from your competitors, and from yourself. But these expectations aren’t a bad thing. On our Queens Retreat, our coaches @queeniesandcrowns @confidenceandpoise @pageantcoachinganddesigns taught us that we should use these expectations to guide our behavior and the goals we set as a queen. Goals like: 📱Post at least three times per week 🗓️ Make at least three appearances per month 🙋🏾‍♀️ Connect with contestants at your pageant 💵 Gain a new sponsor for your pageant 📣 Represent your pageant well even without the crown and sash So how do you push through to achieve these goals when it gets hard? When you’re traveling from appearance to appearance, getting ready in the car, running on three hours of sleep? Gratitude. For many of us, having a state or national title is a once in a lifetime opportunity. There are thousands of girls around the country who would love to be in your position — including those you outplaced to earn your title.
