Cold weather got you down? You’re not alone! This weeks taste of warmer days has us nose deep in some of our favorite horticultural collections. 🐝 Choix des Plus Belles Fleurs, by Belgium painter and botanist Pierre-Joseph Redouté, was originally issued in thirty-six parts between May 1827 and June 1833. A restricted number were published as folios, such as this copy, which contains 144 leaves of plates. Redouté was an official court artist of Marie Antoinette, and survived political upheaval to gain international recognition for his color stipple engravings. The fresh level of detail in each illustration makes you feel as if you’re handling the flowers themselves! Need to stop and smell the roses? Stop by RBSCP for more! 🌹
Botanical Revival 🌿 PREVIEW Where florals meet timeless form… A collection inspired by nature’s quiet beauty. Going live tomorrow with @vintagefridayframedit

They always say there isn’t room for another. And then somehow… there is. 🤍 These antique floral engravings were gathered for a friend here who had been patiently waiting for just the right set - creamy papers, soft violets, delicate botanicals. A collected wall isn’t finished. It’s layered over time. If you have something you’re hoping to find, tell me. I’ll keep watch. . . . . . #collectedhome #antiquebotanicals #englishcottage #vintagewallart #layeredinteriors
A fabulous new botanical set has just arrived 🌿 This Set of Four – Flora Sinensis features distinctive early botanical studies created in 1656 by the Polish Jesuit scholar and naturalist Michał Boym. These remarkable illustrations formed part of his pioneering work documenting plants of the Far East, known as Seu Kagiu, Fructus Indicus. Each plate has that wonderful early botanical character, slightly stylised, richly detailed and full of quiet historical charm. The prints work beautifully together as a set, with soft muted greens and warm natural tones that feel both timeless and collected. They’re framed here in our Fenleigh frames, hand painted in Farrow & Ball Treron, a gentle earthy green that pairs so naturally with the foliage tones in the artwork and gives the whole set a calm, cohesive feel. A truly special collection, the sort of pieces that add depth, history and a little curiosity to a room ✨
A pair that just works 🤎 These two 19th-century studies by Oscar Bluhme celebrate the beauty of everyday objects, simple, characterful and quietly detailed. Striped Earthenware Jar brings those warm terracotta and umber tones, painted with such gentle precision, while Decorated Tin Jug adds a little lift with its hand-painted fruit and floral motifs. Together they strike that lovely balance between rustic and refined. Both are finished with a soft neutral printed border, keeping everything calm and timeless. Framed here in our Marwood frames, hand painted in Farrow & Ball Tanner’s Brown, a rich, grounding tone that really complements the warmth of the artwork and gives the pair a more traditional, collected feel. Perfect side by side in a kitchen or layered into a gallery wall ✨

👨‍🎨From the French countryside to the precision of natural history, each work reflects a distinct moment in the 19th century, when observation became central, technique evolved, and artists pursued truth over idealization. Painted en plein air or rendered through meticulous lithography, these pieces are not just decorative, they are records of how the world was studied, understood, and preserved. A dialogue between art and time. #frenchantiques #interiordesign #interiordesigner #antiquefurniture #vintagedecor
