18 giugno 2013. 👑🏀 #RayAllen #NBAFinals #MiamiHeat #Clutch #magicballsports
The shift in Kobe’s career happened when he started trusting his teammates, and nobody shows that better than his run with Pau Gasol. 2004 to 2007 Kobe was putting up 35 a night but the Lakers were stuck, because he felt like he had to do everything himself. Then February 2008, Pau gets traded to L.A., and Kobe made a conscious choice to play through him. He stopped forcing 40-foot shots late in the clock and started using Pau’s elite passing out of the high post. Suddenly the triangle was humming, Bynum could develop, Odom had space, Fisher got clean looks. Kobe went from scoring champ to MVP in 2008 because his efficiency jumped and the Lakers won 57 games. In the playoffs you saw the trust every possession, Kobe drawing doubles and hitting Pau for layups, Pau finding Kobe on backdoor cuts, those two in a two-man game were unguardable. 2008 Finals they lost to Boston, but 2009 and 2010 they ran it back and won two rings. Game 7 in 2010 is the perfect example, Kobe shot 6-for-24 but had 15 boards and kept feeding Pau, who had 19-18. After the game Kobe said “I wouldn’t be here without Pau.” That was the growth. He learned that making his teammates better made him better. The Mamba mentality didn’t mean solo hero ball, it meant doing whatever it took to win, and trusting Pau unlocked the last chapter of his prime. That 2010 title cemented Pau as a Laker legend too. You think Kobe wins those last two without him? - Via on TT/ emmanuel.mcguire0 - Follow me @freshlayup for more 💕🔥 - #kobebryant #paugasol #nbabasketball
On March 12, 2015 at the AT&T Center, Kyrie Irving put on maybe the greatest regular-season performance against the Popovich-era Spurs, dropping a career-high 57 points in a 128-125 overtime win for Cleveland — and yes, LeBron James and Kevin Love both played, with LeBron going for 31 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and hitting two massive threes in OT to help close it, while Love started and chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds on a rough 2-for-10 night. Kyrie was perfect from everywhere that mattered, 20-for-32 from the field, 7-for-7 from three, and 10-for-10 from the line, breaking the Cavs franchise record of 56 set by LeBron, scoring the most points ever against the Spurs as a franchise, doing it on a night where he was guarded by Tony Parker, Danny Green, and Kawhi Leonard in stretches, hitting impossible layups over Tim Duncan, a 28-point first half, then that falling, contested three over Kawhi with 6 seconds left to force overtime, followed by 7 more in OT — and Pop himself after said, “He was unstoppable, I don’t know how to guard that.” - (Via qshand6canyy/TT) - Follow me @posterizedreels for more 🔥 - #nbabasketball #nbabasketball #kyrieirving #nba
NBA Christmas Commercial (2013) Back in 2013, the NBA released one of its most memorable Christmas commercials featuring some of the league’s biggest stars. The ad showed players like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, James Harden and others standing together while singing “Jingle Hoops,” a basketball-themed version of Jingle Bells. Instead of instruments, the players used the sounds of basketballs dribbling, sneakers squeaking and rims rattling to create the beat, with each star adding their own part to the performance.
Josh Hart has built a reputation as one of the NBA’s most versatile and energetic role players. He was selected 30th overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2017 NBA Draft and was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on draft night before beginning his career with the Lakers. Hart became known for his rebounding, defense, toughness and ability to contribute without needing many plays designed for him. After stops with the Lakers, New Orleans and Portland, he joined the New York Knicks in 2023, where his all-around game became an important part of the team’s identity. During the 2023-24 season, Hart averaged 9.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 43.4% from three. He became especially valuable in the playoffs, where his energy and rebounding helped New York through a physical postseason run. One of Hart’s biggest strengths is his ability to play multiple positions while doing a little bit of everything. He can defend, rebound, push the ball in transition, make plays and hit open threes. His willingness to do the dirty work has made him one of the most respected hustle players in the league. #nba #nbaedits #basketball #basketballedits #nbabasketball
An serendipitous link-up on this unassuming Thursday (Good Morning Northern Hemisphere dwellers). Yet another assist combination where there were only the two. Call me indolent in my creative endeavors all you want, but I pre-made 20 reels before my travels (of which I returned from 5 days ago) so mass production was the name of the game 5 weeks ago. Evidently I drank the holiday kool-aid (aka vacation) and still have a couple of reels on the assembly line to throw your way. So here we are. As for this mighty tandem, they joined forces on a 16-win outfit led by Flip Saunders (RIP). Senegal’s finest, 2013 National Champion, current San Antonio Staffer, and consummate professional making the pass. Meanwhile a “Woah!”-inducing No. 1 overall pick (as far as Bill Simmons is concerned) and 2017 EuroLeague Champion draining the mid-range jumpers. Gorgui Dieng might be one of the most universally beloved NBA back-ups to ever touch the hardwood, as diffident and out of the public eye as he generally appeared. His trebuchet-evocative shooting form added fuel to the fanfare. As for the “where is Anthony Bennett now?” question, he most recently played in Bahrain in 2025. Before that, he played 4 years in Taiwan, 2 in Israel, 2 in the G-League, and one in Turkey. The Box Score from the first clip, where I am assuming Bledsoe and IT became the first duo to ever record 17 PTS and 5 STL in the same game (but uncharacteristically, I have not fact-checked that): Date: January 7th 2015 Score: Suns 113 - 111 Wolves Respective Records at this juncture: Suns 22-16, Wolves 5-29 Interesting (and uninteresting) Statlines: Goran Dragić - 25 PTS / 4 AST / 11-16 FG Gerald Green - 21 PTS / 8-16 FG / 3-8 3PT Eric Bledsoe - 17 PTS / 7 REB / 5 STL / 7-17 FG Isaiah Thomas - 17 PTS / 5 REB / 5 STL / 6-14 FG / 2-3 3PT Markieff Morris - 14 PTS / 5-13 FG Alex Len - 9 PTS / 8 REB / 5 BLK / 4-6 FG Andrew Wiggins - 25 PTS / 3 STL / 10-16 FG Mo Williams - 23 PTS / 11 AST / 7-14 FG / 4-7 3PT Anthony Bennett - 14 PTS / 10 REB / 6-10 FG Thaddeus Young - 13 PTS / 8 REB / 4 AST / 6-18 FG Shabazz Muhammad - 12 PTS / 5 REB / 5 AST / 5-13 FG Gorgui Dieng - 8 PTS / 9 REB / 4 AST / 3-10 FG / 2-4 FT

This video captures an electric individual highlight from a Memphis Grizzlies vs. San Antonio Spurs game. A Grizzlies ball-handler in a navy jersey brings the ball up and immediately attacks downhill, blowing past his initial Spurs defender and forcing the rest of San Antonio’s defense to scramble and collapse toward the paint. Rather than pulling the ball out or settling for a contested jumper, he keeps his handle tight through traffic, shifts gears with a quick change of direction, and knifes his way through multiple Spurs defenders in their silver-and-black jerseys who close in to try to cut him off. Splitting the defense at full speed, he explodes toward the rim and finishes strong at the basket despite the contact, drawing a mix of stunned reactions from the Spurs defenders and the Memphis crowd, with teammates and bench players jumping up in celebration. The scoreboard shows Memphis pulling ahead 66-57, and the sequence has that same “how did he just do that” quality a defender completely turned around, a driving lane that shouldn’t have been there, and a highlight-reel finish that punctuates the possession. It’s the kind of shifty, high-difficulty individual play that gets clipped and shared instantly for showcasing elite body control, footwork, and finishing ability in traffic. #nba #nbabasketball #nbamoments #grizzlies #spurs
