“Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?” 🌹
At Eva’s, we see that strength every day.
This reel features Aisha Francis, Executive Director of Eva’s, and Ruth Jurgensen, Executive Director of the @nbafoundation, speaking to the vision behind Roses from Concrete, a bold new program supporting youth on their journey to post-secondary education.
Next week, young people will log in to begin their first step toward post-secondary education through @gbcollege’s full-week Choices program - as part of Roses from Concrete, made possible with catalytic support from the NBA Foundation. But showing up takes more than motivation. It takes support. Right now is where you come in.
Your gift today helps make this possible:
✅ A laptop and headset - so every student can fully participate
✅ A safe space, meals, and daily support - so they can focus and show up
✅ Peer mentorship from Eva’s graduate, Accolade - guiding them through this next step
✅ Hands-on support navigating college systems - from syllabi to student life
✅ Tools to build academic confidence - shifting from survival mode to learning mode
This is what it looks like to build a real pathway forward.
Donate now. Be part of what’s next. Help more roses rise from concrete!
