Coach Kensuke Nakaniwa wiped away tears of joy as 17-year-old Ami Nakai captured a bronze medal in her Olympic debut. The emotional moment reflected years of dedication, mentorship, and belief finally paying off on the world’s biggest stage. During his own competitive career, Nakaniwa achieved second place at the All-Japan Championships but never had the opportunity to compete at the Olympics. Determined to guide the next generation, he later founded MF Academy and began coaching Nakai when she was still in junior high school, carefully shaping her journey in elite figure skating.
