⬇️ This is the list. Tourists found Negril’s Black-owned hotels before we did. We love to say Jamaica isn’t for Jamaicans. Then we book the all-inclusive chain and drive past the family-run spots on our own beach. These hotels have been Black-owned and family-run for years, and stay booked by foreigners 👇 Charela Inn @CharelaInn The warm one. You check in for a room and leave feeling like family. Travellers Beach Resort @travellersbeach Fun ground level cabins. Easy and unpretentious, the way Negril should feel. Negril Treehouse Resort @negriltreehouse A Seven Mile Beach staple with real character. Footeprints @negrilfooteprintshotel A a long standing staple on the beach with a newly renovated modern look. Honorable mention: @littlebayhideawayja in Little Bay, Hanover. Much harder to find but totally worth the drive (30 minutes from Negril) Save this for the next time someone says there’s nowhere local to stay. Did I miss any worth mentioning? The Corporation says it did not install the fence and, within one hour of being notified of its presence, took decisive action to have it removed.
