Students from Sir Robert Borden High School in #Nepean walked out today - and their message was loud and clear. They know Doug Ford’s changes to OSAP will make it harder for them to afford college, university, or the trades. I was proud to stand with them. When young people raise their voices, the government should listen. #FixOSAPasap #onpoli

The PM cheffing it up in Ottawa‼️👨‍🍳🇨🇦 #MarkCarney made political history by running for a seat in Ottawa, marking the first time in a federal election that both major party leaders were seeking seats in the nation’s capital at the same time. His candidacy brought national attention directly to #Ottawa ridings, turning local debates about housing, transit, affordability, and infrastructure into issues followed closely across the country. Instead of campaigning from outside the city, Carney anchored his leadership bid in the community he aimed to represent, blending national leadership with local accountability. Carney’s riding in Ottawa includes large parts of the city’s southwest suburban communities, most notably Barrhaven, along with areas of #Nepean and surrounding neighbourhoods. #Barrhaven is one of Ottawa’s fastest-growing suburban communities, home to thousands of families, new housing developments, schools, parks, and expanding commercial hubs. With rapid growth has come increased focus on transit access to downtown, infrastructure expansion, affordability pressures, and support for local businesses. The riding represents a cross-section of suburban Ottawa life, making everyday economic concerns central to the political conversation there. Beyond Parliament and national politics, Carney has also made visible efforts to be active within his ward. He has attended local community events, engaged with residents directly, and participated in neighbourhood gatherings. Recent videos circulating online even show him cooking and submitting his own homemade chili for a Barrhaven community cook-off, highlighting a more hands-on and personal approach to connecting with constituents. Moments like that reinforce the message that he is not only representing the area politically, but also showing up in the community itself. How y’all think it tastes? Thoughts on this⁉️🤔⤵️ . . . . 🎥: @Exploring.Ottawa via IG *Post for Awareness purposes Only.* #Explore

I want to share our experience with dental cleaning and tooth extractions 🐾 The total cost was $5300… And yes, veterinary prices in Canada are 🥲 The only thing that really saved us was insurance. Here’s how it works: you pay the full amount upfront, submit all the documents, and then the insurance reimburses you according to your policy. A very important detail - we were lucky that during last year’s check-up, the vet recorded that the teeth were in perfect condition. If this had been considered a pre-existing condition, we wouldn’t have received any reimbursement at all. And honestly, no matter how much it costs, we would have done everything to make sure our furry baby is healthy ❤️ Wishing all your furry friends good health and no need for experiences like this ❤️🐶 Хочу поділитися нашим досвідом чистки та видалення зубів 🐾 Загальна вартість процедури - $5300…

I recently toured @caivansocial in #Nepean to learn more about their work in residential development. It’s always valuable to connect with industry leaders and explore different approaches to home building. We’re all working toward the same goal to build more homes, build them faster and ensuring families across #Ontario have access to the housing they need. Thank you to the Caivan team for the informative presentation and tour. . . #onpoli #protectontario #caivan #homes #buildhomes #ontario

The Liberal Party is resorting to desperate measures in the Nepean by-election because they’ve lost the one thing that matters: the voters' trust. If the Liberals had actually spent their time representing the electorate and doing their jobs, they wouldn’t need to rely on "dirty tricks" and lies to fend off One Nation. Voters see through the "red herrings." You don't need cheap tactics when you have a record worth standing on. Instead of playing games, try representing your constituents for a change. Johnny the Cheese Expert is back at La Bottega Nicastro - this time highlighting one of his top selections: Piave Stravecchio 🧀 This extra-aged Italian cheese is known for its firm, slightly crumbly texture and rich, nutty flavour with a smooth, balanced finish. 🧀 Aged longer for deeper, more developed flavour Naturally lactose-free through the aging process High in protein and calcium Versatile — ideal for grating, pairing, or enjoying on its own It’s a cheese that brings depth and character to anything it’s added to — from simple dishes to elevated spreads. A standout selection, and a clear favourite for a reason. 💫 Refined. Balanced. Built on tradition.
