مراسم از صبح شروع میشه. مردم، مخصوصاً در مناطق سنتی، لباسهای سفید میپوشن.
مردها معمولاً پارچهای سفید به نام shamma یا gabi دور خودشون میپیچن. این یه پارچه بلند و نازکه که دور بدن یا شونهها پیچیده میشه.
زنها هم یه شال نازک و سفید به نام netela روی سر و شونههاشون میندازن. این پوشش هم نشونهی احترامه، هم بخشی از عرف دینی.
مردم ساعتها توی کلیسا یا فضای باز جمع میشن، دعا میکنن، سرود میخونن، و بخشهایی از انجیل رو با صدای بلند میخونن.
بعضیها روزهی کامل دارن.
حرکتهایی مثل زانو زدن، خم شدن، یا ایستادن مداوم توی مراسم دیده میشه. اینا جزو آیین عبادته.
مراسم گاهی تا نیمهشب ادامه داره. سوال: ایا میشه گفت بهش تحجر و عقب افتادگی؟؟؟؟؟
