#nuremberg #alemanha #travel
In ‘Nuremberg’ (2025), Rami Malek stars as a World War II psychiatrist assigned to evaluate Nazi war criminals, tasked with determining whether Hermann Göring, portrayed by Russell Crowe, is mentally fit to stand trial.
🧑‍⚖️ Did you know this medieval-looking city is where modern international justice was born? 👑 For centuries, Nuremberg enjoyed a kind of VIP status in the Holy Roman Empire, a huge medieval empire in the heart of Europe: as a Free Imperial City, it answered only to the emperor and ran itself like a mini-state. Emperors loved staying in its hilltop castle, and by law every new king had to hold his first imperial assembly here. The city even guarded the crown jewels for over 350 years, after they arrived in secret disguised as a shipment of fish. ⚖️ During the Renaissance, Nuremberg was a powerhouse of art and invention. Its medieval charm later turned it into a symbol of Germany, which the Nazis exploited by staging their giant rallies here. After the Second World War, Nazi leaders were put on trial in the city, and these Nuremberg Trials laid the foundations of modern international justice. Rebuilt after heavy bombing, Nuremberg now calls itself a City of Peace and Human Rights. 🧸 Nuremberg has long been a city of makers, famous for toys and for pencils by Staedtler and Faber-Castell. Its Lebkuchen gingerbread and finger-sized bratwurst are even protected by EU law, and Germany's first railway started here. Today it is Bavaria's second-largest city, a base for Siemens and major trade fairs, and home to Germany's national employment agency, which announces the country's jobless figures every month. 🏰 Highlights include the Imperial Castle and its panoramic tower, the medieval city walls, the house of painter Albrecht Dürer, a famous Christmas market and a museum holding the world's oldest surviving globe, made too early to include America. At noon, little figures of seven princes circle the emperor on a church clock in the main square, and turning a brass ring on the Beautiful Fountain is said to grant wishes. Legend even says a robber knight escaped the castle by jumping his horse over the moat. #Nuremberg #BavariaTravel #MedievalEurope #HistoryTravel #DiscoverGermany
Nuremberg (2023) The most terrifying villains aren’t always the loudest. Sometimes they’re the ones who can justify everything. For Nuremberg, Russell Crowe immersed himself in the life of Hermann Göring, studying his voice, posture, and mannerisms to capture not just the man—but the terrifying charisma that helped fuel one of history’s darkest regimes. The film isn’t interested in creating a monster. It’s interested in showing how ordinary people can convince themselves they’re right, even when history proves otherwise. That’s what makes Nuremberg so unsettling. The courtroom isn’t just judging crimes—it’s exposing the dangerous power of ideology, denial, and blind loyalty. Some of the most chilling moments in cinema don’t come from violence. They come from a single sentence spoken without regret. What’s the most haunting courtroom scene you’ve ever watched? 🎬 #Nuremberg #RussellCrowe #Cinema #History #CourtroomDrama MovieFacts FilmDiscussion Movies BestOfCinema
