It’s not everyday an opal is cut into a faceted gem with brilliance in mind. I always make sure all of my faceted opals have decorative crowns so that the light flashes off the facets to give it an even more dazzling look, but I also make sure to cut them to the appropriate angles so when the light shines through the gem, you can see the light performance that appears orange in most opals.
