A home designed to age gently, safely and with dignity.
This retirement home reimagines a 20 year old flat into a space that supports the next chapter of life. While the layout is refreshed, meaningful elements and decades of memories are thoughtfully retained, allowing the home to feel familiar, not foreign.
Storage is carefully planned to house more than 20 years of belongings, keeping everything within reach yet neatly organised. The home is made practical and wheelchair friendly, with clear circulation, generous pathways and details that prioritise ease and safety.
Dedicated corners create space for quiet me-time for him and her, while shared areas remain open, bright and comfortable for everyday living. It is a home shaped by experience, designed to support independence and created as a safe place to grow old in together.
Aging in place doesn’t mean settling — it means upgrading smartly. 🏡✨
The right home adjustments can improve safety, comfort, and independence without the stress of moving. From better lighting and safer flooring to layout improvements and accessibility upgrades, small changes can create a big impact.

In just a matter of hours our incredible Caring Transitions team turned this house into a home for our senior clients. I can’t describe how happy they were when they walked in the door and saw all their things displayed so beautifully. I just have to give a huge shout out to the amazing people on our team who made this happen. They went above and beyond to serve our clients so well.

What if senior living actually felt like home?
For many of our clients, that’s the goal. With years of experience and a deep understanding of what works, we’re able to bring that vision to life.
Too often, the senior living spaces we walk into feel
❌ outdated
❌ dark
❌ lacking personality or balance
We design with both durability and beauty in mind. Your team gets the functionality they need, and residents feel proud to call it home.
The feedback speaks for itself. Residents are happier, families are more excited to visit, and team members feel proud of their work environment.

CBCS Cherrybrook shows how a facility with good bones can be thoughtfully brought into the present.
This refurbishment gave the residence another 15 years of vibrant life by modernising spaces while preserving the character that means so much to the community.
The reception, corridors, and nearby common areas were updated to feel warmer and more like home than institution.
Updated finishes, lighting, furniture, and window treatments now help:
- Make the entry more welcoming for residents and visitors
- Improve legibility and wayfinding along corridors
- Create small places to pause, sit, and wait in comfort
- Add softness and acoustic comfort underfoot and throughout
These before and afters show how rethinking entries and everyday circulation can support orientation, safety, and comfort without changing the building envelope.

From Resale Flat to Retirement Home | A Singapore Duplex HDB Transformation
In Singapore, when a project comes through a friend’s recommendation, it carries an extra layer of trust — and with that, a greater sense of responsibility. This recently completed top-floor duplex HDB was purchased as a resale unit, with the homeowners deciding on a full-scale renovation.
Referred by a past client who valued our service and professionalism, the owners entrusted us with creating their future home. The existing interior showed its age, but their vision was clear: this would not be a temporary residence, but a home they plan to live in through retirement. We therefore reimagined almost the entire space, guided by three core principles — comfort, smart storage, and lifelong usability.
At the entrance, we designed a full foyer system that gives a sense of arrival every time they return home. The kitchen extends seamlessly into an island, allowing Asian and Western cooking as well as family interaction to happen in one shared space. The living area moves away from a traditional TV-centric layout, instead prioritizing reading and conversation. A combination of bookshelves, a meeting table, and a movable television allows the room to shift effortlessly between “reading mode” and “hosting mode.” Under the staircase, concealed storage maximizes every inch of usable space.
Upstairs, the three bedrooms — two children’s rooms and a master suite — were carefully planned with custom cabinetry and circulation tailored to the family’s lifestyle for the next decade and beyond.
Renovations like this are rarely about design alone. The real challenge lies in stepping into the client’s future and anticipating the details they will rely on every day. A house is a physical space, but a home is built around time.

More and more seniors in Lawrence are choosing to remodel for aging in place instead of relocating—and it makes sense. Home is familiar, comfortable, and with the right updates it can stay that way for years.
But here’s the key: accessibility doesn’t have to look clinical. The best aging-in-place remodels feel polished, stylish, and high-end—think seamless flooring transitions, spa-like bathrooms with discreet support, better lighting, and smart storage that makes daily life easier without sacrificing design.
If you’re thinking about staying in your home long-term, let’s talk. Schedule a walk-through consultation with our team and we’ll help you explore options that improve comfort, safety, and flow—while keeping the finished look premium and resale-friendly.
This is what intentional design looks like in Residential Assisted Living. Every choice supports connection, accessibility, and a true sense of home.
By removing walls and reinforcing the structure, the owners created a shared dining and kitchen space where meals move straight from the stove to the table. Floors were carefully refinished so new and original materials blended seamlessly, preserving the warmth of the home while improving how residents live together day to day.

Good design isn’t just about how a space looks —— it’s about how it supports people through every stage of life.
Accessibility and experience help create homes that feel safer, easier to use, and more alive —— for everyone.
