From Okotoks to Australia and everywhere in between, it’s always so much fun welcoming visiting royalty to the @calgarystampede. They spend the week celebrating rodeo traditions from around the world, sharing stories, and experiencing a little Western hospitality along the way. Okotoks, meet Taylea. ✂️✨ Although if you’ve been around Image Hair Design for a while, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve already met her. ❤️ Taylea has been building her career behind the chair since 2021 and became part of our Image family in 2024. She’s now in the final stretch of her apprenticeship—and she’s ready to build a clientele of her own. And as you can probably tell… she doesn’t exactly fit into one little box. 😂 Highlights & colour. Extensions. Tapered men’s cuts. Cuts & styling. And beautiful updos for those days that call for something extra. ✨ She’s creative, meticulous, a whole lot of fun to have around the salon—and yes, the random dancing shown here is a fairly accurate representation of what we deal with on a regular basis. 😂❤️ Most importantly, Taylea’s books are OPEN and she’s accepting new clients. Soon, it will be a great time to come downtown, explore what’s new, reconnect with your favourite local businesses, and discover a few new favourites along the way. Every visit and every local purchase makes a difference. We know there’s still a little more work ahead, but the finish line is in sight. North Railway Street will be open soon, and we can’t wait to see you downtown!

Our first week in 🇨🇦 done! What a whirlwind of emotion but the overriding feeling is we have 100% done the right thing! Gaining Canadian permanent residency was difficult and complicated but we stuck at it and are now reaping the rewards. The scenic drives are something straight out of a movie and the community spirit that we kept reading about, it’s very much alive here! Okotoks is our new home and we cannot wait to explore the area further. It’s been epic to reconnect with old friends and also make new ones even if they did set the conditions for me to break my toe… (Thanks Matt & Sebastian) 🤣 Theo has literally not stopped smiling and as parents, that’s all we can ever hope for. Zero screen time, maximum outdoors time and epic food; yes, we are very much HOME!
