….here’s what I mean by that.
If you search for organizing ideas what do you find?
Typically we’re served up images of perfectly organized spaces, in perfect containers, in perfect detailed systems, with perfect labels, in perfect rooms.
And while we may ASPIRE to that…that’s not the only way to organize.
Actually, most of us don’t NATURALLY organize like that.
🚫We don’t put lids on things.
- Or decant things
- Or fold things
- Or arrange according to colour
- Or remember items stored out of sight
- Or put things back immediately where we found it
So keeping our homes tidy to the level we see as the “right way to organize” becomes WORK! 😮💨
(And so we don’t do it.)
And then we beat ourselves up for not being able to maintain the “normal traditional” system.
But I’m here to tell you: THERE IS NO “RIGHT” WAY TO ORGANIZE!
Instead, the best way to organize is for YOUR NATURAL STYLE…..
For some that means,
✅ tossing everything in a giant basket and calling it a day.
- For others it using a bulletin board for important papers instead of a filing cabinet.
- And some people need to have spices organized alphabetically
ALL OF THIS IS OK!
You’re not cheating if you don’t do it like everyone else.
