From 2020 to 2025 😭🙌💕 Noel and Veronique, my original characters In 2020, I haven’t enough time to make it finished. Can only put web comics type of cell shading coloring… but now, I can pour all of my aesthetic into this artwork. The absolute best part about being a creator is that your word is absolute law. When you're developing Original Characters (OCs), every single headcanon, random late-night thought, or niche trait you assign to them becomes instant, undeniable canon. Want them to secretly love baking but hate the smell of vanilla? Done. It's your world, and you hold all the power! But let’s be entirely honest—sometimes the characters take on a life of their own, and the creator-to-character struggle gets incredibly real. You find yourself cooking up a brilliant new backstory scenario at 2 AM, only to suddenly stop and think, "Wait, no... they would absolutely never do that. That is completely out of character for them." It is a wild experience when you have to literally check yourself, shut down your own brainstorming session, and essentially tell yourself to go back and reread your own lore. You become your own toughest critic and continuity editor! Whether you’re confidently confirming your own headcanons or actively fighting your own brain to keep your characters consistent, the chaotic journey of character development is an unmatched mood that every writer knows all too well.
