The School of Legal Studies successfully organised Special Lecture XVII under the aegis of the Motilal Nehru Chair and the Centre for Criminology & Victimology on 18 February 2026 at Aryabhata Block . The lecture was delivered by Dr. Rajendra Dhar, District Judge & Member, District Consumer Court (South-II), Government of NCT of Delhi, who shared valuable insights on the evolving dimensions of consumer jurisprudence and the practical functioning of consumer courts. His deliberations highlighted contemporary challenges in dispute resolution, judicial accountability, and the strengthening of consumer protection mechanisms in India. The session was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Mehraj Uddin Mir, Chair – Motilal Nehru Chair, and Prof. (Dr.) Kaveri Sharma, Dean, School of Legal Studies, with Prof. Dr. Shobhna Jeet serving as Co-Convenor. The event was coordinated by Dr. Megha Garg and Mr. Prashant Panwar, Assistant Professor, whose efforts ensured the smooth execution of the programme. The lecture witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, research scholars, and faculty members, followed by an engaging interactive session that allowed participants to gain practical exposure beyond classroom learning.
