Simple task, big impact! Standing on an unstable surface + reaching down for pieces = balance, coordination, strong core and full body control. This exercise may look simple, but it activates so many important systems at once: ✨ Balance & postural control – the child must constantly adjust their body to stay steady on the wobble cushion. ✨ Core strength – deep abdominal and back muscles work non-stop to keep the body upright. ✨ Motor planning – the child has to think, plan and execute the movement of lowering, picking up the piece and returning to standing. ✨ Coordination – combining balance with a precise hand movement is a brilliant challenge for the nervous system. ✨ Proprioception – every small shift of weight builds better body awareness and stability.
