People often suggest a wheelchair for Ryder because he’s a paralyzed cat, but it just isn’t for him. He doesn’t enjoy it, and maneuvering him this way can actually flare his nerve pain.

Amelia’s recovery story ❤️
Amelia came to see veterinary neurologist and neurosurgeon @the_neuro_vet_dubai and @drroyhassoun for paralysis. After an MRI it was discovered that Amelia has an infiltrative lesion in the spinal cord that caused the pain and tetraparesis, meaning she was unable to walk with all four legs. As the spinal cord itself was affected, the surgery was extremely delicate and complex.
After the surgery and a few weeks of physio with @tayloredvetphysio , Amelia has started to not only walk again and but run and play ❤️

❤️🩹Success story of the week!
Leonardo was rescued after being run over (possibly several times) and was rushed to our emergency team at Modern Vet.
He was in a critical condition and needed several surgeries, peformed by @lucianovetsurgeon. His front and hind leg were severely crushed in several places , with extensive nerve damage. His front leg needed to be amputated and with the damage to his hind leg, it looked unlikely that he would be able to stand up or walk again.
Leonardo surprised us all though, after weeks of physiotherapy he started to recover and regained use of his hind leg, and learned how to stand and walk on 3 legs 💪🏼.
Now all he needs is a home, share his video so we can reach his future home and leave a comment to support him.

As I write bios and pleas for Dino to help him find his forever home or sanctuary, I keep making sure to include one key fact about Dino: he loves cardboard. He has lots of uses for cardboard. He will use it as a snail shell (we call this his “snail time”); bite it; rip it up; and lay on, in, and under it whenever given the chance. (He would really love a home with lots of Amazon box deliveries, please.) So it seems only fair to talk you all back to the week Dino discovered his most favorite thing in the world. This isn’t the *very* first cardboard interaction, but it’s within the first 48 hours of discovery. I should have known then: this would be an everlasting love.
Please help us find Dino his forever home! As a reminder, Dino’s rear-half is *mostly* paralyzed, but as you can see in other videos, he has regained some movement in his back legs and tail, though it seems to be mostly unconscious. Because of his paralysis, Dino is also incontinent, which means he needs help to fully express his bladder. We’re also working on finding diapers that fit him well, so that he can stay clean while exploring more of the world.
Dino is located in Central Texas, but his fosters are willing to bring him wherever he needs to go to find his forever people! 🦕 ✈️

Meet Ryder, a paralyzed rescue cat who sits like a human.
Ryder was found abandoned in a bag as a kitten, and does not have function in his back legs. Despite his disability, he remains in good spirits. He engages in typical cat activities, such as climbing, playing, and snuggling.
Ryder's owners wrap his back feet to prevent him from chewing on them due to nerve pain. He is given frequent foot baths when his wraps are changed.

Milo’s recovery story 😍
A stroke caused paralysis in the hind legs, leaving Milo unable to walk or stand. After seeing @the_neuro_vet_dubai for a neurology consult and MRI, he started physiotherapy and acupuncture with @tayloredvetphysio immediately to regain use of his legs and learn to walk again.
Two weeks later, he made a full recovery ❤️🩹
