🙌 A huge thank you to Passback for showing up in a big way for our City League teams! Thanks to their support, 10 teams received: 👕 Matching training sets (jerseys, shorts, socks) 💧 Team water bottles & towels ⚽ Soccer balls, pinnies, cones & goalie gloves Passback also hosted a pop-up, where players picked up: 👟 Cleats, shin guards, sports bags, jackets & more — in a range of sizes 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 And parents were taken care of too! With lawn chairs, bottles, and game-day essentials, the sidelines were set. We’re grateful for the love and support — thank you, Passback! 💪 #STLCityLeague #Passback #CommunityStrong #Gratitude #EquityThroughSport

Passback teamed up with St. Joseph’s Academy @stjoeangels to collect an estimated $8,065 worth of sports gear for kids who need it — while also reintegrated over 100,00 grams of plastic and metal into the circular economy I first connected with their team lead, Katie Lodes, through the Green Schools Quest, a program hosted by the Missouri Botanical Garden @mobotgarden that pairs schools with sustainability mentors to complete hands-on projects. We kicked things off with a circularity workshop, where they got to hear how Passback works and why keeping gear in play matters. Later in the semester, the students organized the school-wide collection drive. They didn’t stop there—a few all stars also volunteered at our SLYSA @slysaleague and @moyouthsoccer MYSA spring collection event, helping us educate families and support even more kids. This partnership was such a powerful example of how youth leadership and circular action can go hand-in-hand. We’re so grateful to the St. Joe’s Angels for stepping up and showing what’s possible when community, sustainability, and sports come together. #circularity #circularstl #passback #stjoes #stjosephacademy #sports #sustainability #circulareconomy #nonprofit #sdg12 #sdg11 #stl

Top 5 Worst Passback #passback #worst #top #goal
Every year, tens of millions of dollars in perfectly good sports gear sit trapped in warehouses and closets — caught in limbo between “too valuable to trash” and “too time-consuming to redistribute.” Across the supply chain, there’s a growing stockpile of non-defective, non-retailable, and barely used gear — (Think Misfit Market @misfitsmarket but for sports gear.)  These items often: -Miss retail windows when seasons change or gear gets updated -Get sidelined by small logo flaws, size mix issues, or rebranding -Sit idle in storage, building up costs as new products take their place The gear itself — whether brand-new surplus or lightly used from last season — is usable, safe, and valuable. What’s missing isn’t demand — it’s flow. The current system wasn’t designed for circularity: -Corporations need SKU-level tracking and serialized control. -Most Nonprofits can’t process bulk or mixed-condition gear efficiently. -Liquidators focus on truckload quantities and fast turnover. So the gear stalls — not because it lacks purpose, but because it takes too much time and coordination to move through traditional channels. Passback @passbackofficial unlocks that flow. We manage the reverse logistics process for team sports gear, collecting, processing, and redistributing it at a fraction of the cost, creating value for stakeholders across the supply chain. With the help of 30+ amazing partners, we are transforming what’s time-consuming for brands into turnkey impact for communities, we turn waste into worth — and keep gear, and opportunity, in play. Systems change is a team sport. Video Credit - @FCPolissya Is there deliberate pass back here? It seems controlled but really is it? The attackers will always yell for this but are they right? Yes he chests it down, but then sort of “toe pokes” the ball back in goal area. It’s subjective but I think this is a miskick and we see the goal keeper race forward to get the ball out of the air. What are the cases for letting play go? #referee #refereedecisions #deliberateplay #Goalkeeper #passback #matchcontrol #therefereecircle
