Después de seis meses, regresamos, y ya nos organizamos para retomar el ritmo.🐕‍🦺 Hubo varios reencuentros emocionados con residentes que conocemos hace tiempo (los visitamos desde 2019, ¡ya van siete años!), y también presentaciones de recién llegados. En todos, como siempre, Peggy despierta curiosidad y ternura. 🫶 Coincidimos con Vilma, una cachorrita de cinco meses que acompañaba a la nieta de una residente. ¡Amamos que en el hospital admitan a los perritos de las familias! 🫠 Jugamos en ronda a la búsqueda del tesoro, y Vilma mostró los primeros pasos para dominar el juego. A Peggy no le pareció el mejor plan, ¿qué hace esta enana buscando mis premios abajo de mis trapitos? 😛 Y además nos fuimos con un regalito: un residente recién llegado conoció a Peggy y dijo "¡yo la dibujé en el taller de arte!". Our hearts are broken as we share that our sweet boy, Teddy, crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈💔 A rescue from Mississippi, Teddy went on to touch countless lives far beyond what we could have ever imagined. Known to many as @shaggyteddy on Instagram, he was pure love wrapped in fur-lots of it. Since the age of one, he proudly served as a registered therapy dog with Pet Partners and Tails of Joy. bringing comfort, smiles, and calm wherever he went: from nursing homes and colleges to stress-relief events, reading programs in schools, the Institute of Living, and the American School for the Deaf. He helped children read with confidence, soothed anxious hearts, and brightened difficult days with his gentle spirit. He even made his way onto the TV series "Little Voice", but his true calling was always in service -offering unconditional love and quiet healing to everyone he met. Shaggy Teddy wasn't just part of our family, he was part of so many others, too. We are endlessly grateful for the joy, laughter, and comfort he shared during his amazing 14 years. Run free, sweet boy.
