Everyone wants to know the secret to getting recruited, but most of the “cheat codes” are actually pretty simple.
1. follow-up emails. Most players send one email and stop. The players who keep following up (politely) are the ones coaches actually remember.
2. LinkedIn. It sounds weird, but coaches are on there all the time. A clean profile and a direct message can start conversations that never happen through email.
3. Playing time. Being the best player on the field and getting real minutes will help your recruiting more than sitting on the bench at a “bigger” program.
None of these are flashy, but the players who understand little advantages like this usually separate themselves in the recruiting process.
Bro just gave us the METHOD. 😳✍️

🎙️ “Exposure changes everything.”
In this clip from Episode 20, Coach Overton @do2.5loading breaks down why opportunities matter — and how events like the VA vs MD Senior Bowl at The St. James @thestj_football (Jan 2, 2026) give athletes a real chance to be seen by recruiters.
He also dives into how college coaches evaluate high school athletes vs. the transfer portal, and why graduating in December and early enrolling in January can be a major advantage for prospects looking to get ahead.
This is the kind of information athletes and parents NEED to hear.
If recruiting is on your radar — SAVE this.
Tag a parent or athlete who needs this insight.
And follow @levelsapp.ai for real conversations that help athletes get to the next level.

When a college coach invites you and your family on a campus visit… are you ready to ask the right questions?
Most athletes show up hoping to impress the coach.
The best recruits show up prepared to learn if the school is the right fit.
👇 Comment MAP and I’ll send you the 12-question recruiting assessment to see how prepared you really are for the recruiting process.
As a former D1 coach, scout, and recruiter who’s been part of hundreds of college visits, these were always the best questions recruits asked:
🎯 1. “What’s your developmental plan for a player like me at my position?”
Shows maturity — and tells you if they truly see your potential.
🎯 2. “What would you need from me to contribute to the team right away?”
Now you understand their expectations.
🎯 3. “What usually causes players in your program to enter the transfer portal?”
This question reveals a LOT about culture and honesty.
🎯 4. “What’s a day in the life like for your players — in season and out of season?”
Because the reality of the lifestyle matters.
The best campus visits aren’t about hype.
They’re the ones where you leave with real clarity and a clear development plan.
And that’s how families make confident recruiting decisions.
College Recruiting Explained | Part 3
Division 1 and Division 2 both offer athletic scholarships, competitive programs, and strong college environments.
- Division 1 often involves greater time demands, travel, and roster depth.
- Division 2 provides high-level competition with opportunities for balance, development, and earlier playing time for some athletes.
Choosing the right level depends on fit, goals, and long-term development.
