What y’all think about polygyny? I’m opening the floor up! I’ll go first, This was my exact reaction when I first learned about polygyny. I was like… “um nooo, not sharing my husband! Plus I don’t think YAH allows someone to go through hurt and having less for another sister to have more” I was also dealing with jealousy, selfishness and control over my husband. I ended up giving everything to YAH. I allowed YAH to guide my heart. I let go of control completely. I minimized my jealousy and eventually I was open to sharing my husband. Completely trusting YAH. After experiencing polygyny… I realized that I’m a better wife and I didn’t have anything to worry about because YAH is the judge to every relationship and situation. What I feared was vain and in the end I feared YAH. My marriage with my husband became extremely healthy, we’re closer too. The enemy tried to make me believe in lies but the truth is in the experience and outcome. Yes, I was hurt, I doubted here and there. I’m human. I trusted YAH still. No matter what. YAH gets the GLORY because he even made me a better person. I don’t have many of the fears I used to have. The fears that held me back from love. Though we’ve had ups and downs with polygyny, we understand it’s not about what we want but what YAH allows to be built within our house. I gained truth as well. Why polygyny works and why it doesn’t based on experience alone. Just as the scripture gives examples such as the ten virgin parable… 5 had oil in their lamps and the other 5 didn’t have oil because they were foolish. Polygyny worked when the 5 women had oil in their own lamps, and polygyny came together in Isaiah 4 during the time of judgment. Then we have the other 5 foolish women who didn’t make it to the marriage chamber, and biblical key points of women who are linked to destruction of themselves and their own homes aside from destroying their own marriages. This is not all I’ve gained from my experience, it’s a lot to point out but I wanna keep this short. What do y’all think? I want honest feedback. #polygyny #polygamy #hardtruths
