If Port Stephens isn’t on your bucket list already - be sure to add it right away! 🤯 Located 2.5 hours from Sydney, this coastal gem has so much to offer. Stunning beaches (26 to be exact), huge sand dunes, wildlife, national parks and stunning ocean side spots to eat and drink. It’s a must-visit part of Australia! 🇦🇺🤌
Still can’t believe we got to watch a sunrise like this 🥹🌅 (Follow @thetravellingkangaroos for more daily travel ✈️) 📍Tomaree Head Summit, Port Stephens We left home at 2am to make it here for sunrise and it was 100% worth the early wake up 😅 🥾 The walk to the top is 2.2km return and pretty steep, but so worth it! 📌 Send this to someone you want to watch sunrise here 🌅
Last year, we trialled Powered Vessel Exclusion Zones at popular local beaches across Port Stephens. And from 24 December to 26 January this summer, they’ll be back by popular demand. ✅Same place ✅Same time ✅Same stunning waterway So whether you’re having a swim, paddle boarding or kayaking at Dutchies, Fly Point or Shoal Bay Beach, you’ll be able to do it safely 🙌
I can’t believe this is only 3 hours from Sydney… 🤯🌊 This is Tomaree Head Summit in Port Stephens, looking out over Zenith, Wreck and Box Beaches. The walk is only 2.2km return, but the view from the top looks like something you’d travel halfway across the world to see. 🇦🇺 Save this one for your next NSW road trip. 📍 #PortStephens #TomareeHead #NSW #Australia

Winter getaways with kids don’t have to mean staying indoors 🤍 We spent the weekend at Ingenia Holidays Soldiers Point and it honestly felt like a little tropical escape — even in the middle of winter. With a heated pool, playground, jumping pillow, bike track and plenty to keep the kids entertained, it’s the kind of place where you can slow down while they adventure. And at only around 2.5 hours from Sydney, it makes such an easy family weekend away. 🌿 Definitely one to save for your next Port Stephens getaway. 🤍 📍 Ingenia Holidays Soldiers Point, Port Stephens @ingeniaholidays #portstephens #familytravelaustralia #nswgetaways #holidaywithkids #visitnsw

Big ocean, teeny tiny dolphin 😍🐬This adorable local may be the smallest in the pod, but it’s already keeping up! Join @dolphinswimaustralia in Port Stephens from October to May for an aquatic adventure you’ll never forget. 🎥: @tayaagraham 📍: @dolphinswimaustralia, @portstephens, @visitnsw #SeeAustralia #ComeAndSayGday #PortStephens #FeelNSW ID: A baby dolphin jumping out of the water beside a boat off Port Stephens.
WEEKEND PROJECT 01 // EPISODE 1.1 🌴💦 POV: You thought we went to Bali… but we never left NSW. 👀 After finding our own little “Sahara” at the Stockton Sand Dunes, our next stop on our 48-hour Port Stephens Weekend Project looked completely different. 📍 Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort Palm trees. Tropical gardens. Turquoise water. And that HUGE lagoon-style pool. 🌴 We stayed here for the weekend and paid $0 out of pocket for our accommodation — we booked the stay using our Qantas Points. ✈️ Honestly, this is one of our favourite ways to use points. Instead of saving them only for flights, we sometimes use them to turn an ordinary weekend away into a proper little family holiday without adding another accommodation bill. The girls could spend hours in the pool, while we got our slow morning coffee on the balcony — and for a moment, it really did feel like we’d gone somewhere tropical. Except… we were still only around 2.5 hours from Sydney. 🤯 This is exactly why we started the Weekend Project. Our weekdays belong to work, but our weekends belong to making core memories with our girls — seeing how much adventure, family time and actual relaxation we can fit into those precious 48 hours without taking annual leave or jumping on a plane. 🏜️ Episode 1.0: The “Sahara” of NSW 🌴 Episode 1.1: Our little slice of “Bali” in Port Stephens ⛰️ Next: A kid-friendly coastal summit with one BIG reward Same weekend. Completely different experiences. And this stay? Qantas Points well spent. 🙌 Would you use your points for a weekend stay instead of a flight? 👉 SAVE this for your next Port Stephens getaway and follow along for Episode 1.2. #WackysWeekendProject #PortStephens #OaksPortStephensPacificBlueResort #QantasPoints #nswwithkids
Port Stephens’ powered vessel exclusion zones are back by popular demand! Same time, same place and in the same stunning waterway 👌🏼 Our beautiful waterways were much calmer last summer, so I know locals and visitors will love being able to choose safer swimming areas again this season at Dutchman’s Beach, Fly Point and Shoal Bay.
