I can’t believe I’ve ever done invites any other way. Postable has made my life as a busy mom of 2 so much easier by doing all the heavy lifting and sending out the girls’ cute birthday invites! Collecting addresses for your wedding is probably one of the most boring and tedious wedding planning jobs that you have to do. There are a lot of tools out there that can help you with this task. My favorite is Postable.com Why I love it- -It’s free -It’s easy to use. Once you sign-up you will get a link to send to your guests. Share it via text, email, to their social media inbox, whatever works best for you. -It’s customizable-You can customize the message that the guest receives when they get the link. You can also customize what you need from them. Clearly you need names and an address but, you can request phone numbers, emails, etc. -The address book-Once you have all your contacts you can download the spreadsheet. I like this because I can customize the spreadsheet even more. Maybe you want to add food choice, gifts received, RSVP information. Additional tips- Don’t take on this task alone. Put your parents in charge of getting their friends’ info. Put your fiancé in charge of hunting down his friend’s information. Delegating tasks (especially boring ones) will help you survive wedding planning. lol. Do NOT wait until the last minute to do this. I have tooooo many clients that wait until their save-the-date comes in before they start collecting the addresses. This can be stressful because it’s very time-consuming and you will have to hunt some people down to get you the info. Sometimes address collecting can take weeks. Select your favorite font style, color and how you’d like the Postables to be shipped. Then upload or enter the addresses of your recipients and enter your return address and you’re done. Postable will ship them directly to all of your recipients. They’ll even ship you extra cards and envelopes for those recipients you may have forgotten.
