What an incredible weekend we had at the @premier_invitational in the Gold Coast 🦁. These boys competed in 9 epic battles and gave a fantastic account of themselves all weekend leaving it all on the pitch 🔥. After grading we finished up winning 3, drawing 1 and narrowly losing 2. The memories and beyond epic team banter in-between games will certainly last a lifetime. We simply couldn’t be prouder of our first ever side to take to the pitch at the Premier Invitational, and look forward to doing it all again this coming weekend with our U8’s! C’MON LIONS! 🦁🔥⚽️ • • • • • #grassrootfootball #premierinvitational #sydney #sydneysoccer #innerwestmums

3 days, 32 teams, and one amazing group of girls ❤️🖤 Premier Invitational with North Brisbane ended in the Grand Final against Elite from Sydney. 0-0 after full time, so it went to penalties. 5 goals each, then their keeper saved ours. It was do or die, and I made the save to keep us in it. I got close to a couple more, but they took it in the end. 2nd out of 32 teams. So proud of this team. Thank you Tom Kenny and Andrew Blatchett for coaching us 🙏 #PremierInvitational #NorthBrisbane #Goalkeeper #GirlsFootball #GrandFinal

In the long history of the game, no one has ever shot a lower tournament round on a golf course with a regulation par than Homero Blancas. 🤯 In 1962, a 24 year old Blancas claimed a spot in the @GuinnessWorldRecords by posting a final round 55 to win the Premier Invitational. With only 4 pars on his card Blancas made 13 birdies and an eagle to set a record that remains unbroken. Learn more about Blancas at his Digital Museum through the link in bio.
