Watson Lake is my favorite place in the entire state and the first solo hike I took my baby boy on! We have two hike recommendations here. The first I like for carrying your kids (if they’re little) and the second I like for letting your kids explore the trail. But be careful because it’s a lake so both are along water!
Watson Lake is approx 90 mins from Phoenix and the forecast high today is 18 degrees cooler 👌🏼 Still try to avoid peak heat hours (it’s still summer!), wear sunblock, check the weather to make sure temps are cool enough for *you* personally + for monsoon activity…. this area is subject to storms! Don’t forget hats and sunglasses.
