George Santos (R-NY) had “voluntarily removed himself” from his committee assignments amid multiple ethics and campaign finance investigations that were sparked after he admitted to fabricating key details about his biography while running for Congress. “I supported George Santos as the nominee and the people of his district voted to elect him,” Rep. Stefanik said. “Now, we just got out of conference and George has voluntarily removed himself from committees as he goes through this process.” Asked whether he should resign from the House, Rep.
