What a privilege 🙏🏽
Thank you @kelvintheguide for sharing such a powerful way to view / understand privilege. 🥾 We were having our "post hike snack" after Kelvin had guided us up Dragons Teeth trail in Kenya, and he dropped THIS statement on us. "When you have options, you have privilege" It was such a simple yet powerful way to understand privilege that I HAD to have him repeat it to share with you all. It's so true, and has me thinking deeply about the privilege with the the unlimited options I have. Wow. Thank you Kelvin!🩷 . . . . . . 🥾 About Kelvin: Kelvin was a "street boy" who didn't know his parents and had to fend for himself on the streets of Nairobi. But he didn't let that stop him from seeking a life bigger than the streets. He wanted a better life and he created it. He now runs his own guilding business @kelvintheguide leading people from around the world on hikes and climbs throughout Kenya. Our hike was 1,000x better because he was guiding us. His humor, knowledge of the area and "Kelvin wisdom" mic drops along the trail were absolutely the best part of our hike! He is an absolute gem of a human and I highly encourage you to reach out to him when you want to hike or climb in Kenya! Follow 👉🏼 @kelvintheguide so you can have the best contact for all things adventure in Kenya💕🏔️🇰🇪 #privilege #hikekenya #kenyaguide #privileged
On Aspire, we’ve had the privilege of hearing from women who share not just their success, but the lessons they’ve learned along the way often the hard way. In this conversation, @reesewitherspoon opens up about something many women rarely talk about openly: money. Not just earning it, but losing it, learning from it, and rebuilding a healthier relationship with it over time. What stands out is how universal the experience is. So many women have a financial story shaped by debt, unexpected life changes, or moments where control was taken out of their hands. And yet, those experiences often become the foundation for a different kind of awareness one built on independence, ownership, and self-trust. Her message is clear be mindful with debt, be intentional with spending, and never fully hand over control of your financial independence. Because beyond the numbers, money is about freedom and freedom, ultimately, comes from staying connected to your own ability to earn, choose, and stand on your own. To all the women learning, unlearning, and rebuilding their relationship with money this conversation is for you. Watch the conversation on @Youtube and wherever you get your podcasts.
Qualification vs Knowledge, A. Velumani was born in a small village near Coimbatore to a landless farmer. For him, education was not a privilege but a necessity, the only path to change his life and circumstances. He studied physics, earned a master’s degree, and later completed a PhD in thyroid biochemistry from the University of Mumbai. With strong academic credentials, he went on to work as a scientist at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre for over a decade. Despite job security and prestige, Dr Velumani saw a larger purpose. He believed knowledge should serve people at scale, not remain confined to laboratories or institutions. Taking a bold leap, he left his government job and started Thyrocare with just ₹2 lakh. His goal was simple yet powerful: make diagnostic testing affordable and accessible for millions of Indians. Today, Thyrocare is valued at over ₹1,200 crore, touching countless lives across the country. His journey proves that qualifications give you education, but curiosity, courage, and belief are what turn knowledge into lasting impact. This is what privilege looks like. 🚨 At a Grand Rapids, Michigan City Commission meeting, a white resident admitted he drove with expired license plates for a year to test police racism. He says police never stopped him. Driving with expired plates violates the law. But Black drivers across this country know firsthand they are often pulled over for far less. A cracked taillight.Window tint that’s a little too dark.A lane change an officer claims was improper. Minor issues like these trigger traffic stops every single day. For many Black Americans, being pulled over can be a tense, high-stakes moment where people think carefully about every word and every movement. That reality is why many Black parents have what’s known as “the talk.” They prepare their children for traffic stops. Hands visible. No sudden movements.Speak calmly.Stay respectful. So when someone describes driving illegally for a year without consequences, the truth becomes undeniable. It’s a clear example of white privilege. #PolicingInAmerica #PoliceAccountability #WhitePrivilege #KnowTheReality #HardTruths
In many immigrant households, moving to a new country is seen as a huge opportunity, even a privilege, and that sense of possibility often comes with unspoken expectations. Kids grow up feeling that they must make the most of this chance, not just for themselves but for the sacrifices their parents made. Overachieving becomes a way to honor those efforts and to prove they are “making it count.” From a young age, success is tied to duty and obligation rather than personal fulfillment, which can make it hard to celebrate achievements or feel satisfied no matter how much they accomplish. #mentalhealth #therapy #explorepage✨ #reels #traumahealing Video Credit: @refinise
Nobody prepares you for the fact that getting older is both a gift and a personal attack. I blinked and somehow 22 turned into 42. And I know, I know, aging is beautiful. It’s a privilege. I mean that. But it’s also a little surreal to feel young in your spirit and then see the number and think… excuse me? Anyway, I’m grateful. I’m here. I’m wiser, funnier, stronger, and significantly less willing to waste my life people-pleasing. On that note, giant announcement coming next week. Get ready. 🚂
What a privilege it is to witness their first steps into this big world ✨ The resilience of these small creatures is admirable. With only a 1 in 1000 chance of survival, these hatchlings will make their way into the ocean where there are many predators at the shore waiting for them. After surviving the initial steps into their new chapter of life, those that survive then swim for 72 hours straight into the “lost years” before making their way back to the same beach decades later to mate and lay their own eggs. The cycle of life then starts again 🩵 #nature #travel #australia #turtle #ocean

A recent federal case, United States v. Heppner, is a wake-up call for anyone using generative AI. In this February 2026 decision, the court ruled that a defendant’s interactions with a public AI platform were not protected by attorney-client privilege or the work-product doctrine. That means those conversations were discoverable by the government. The reasoning is straightforward. Privilege depends on confidentiality, and using a public AI tool involves sharing information with a third party. The court made it clear that AI is not your lawyer, and those communications are not protected in the same way. The takeaway is simple but critical. Do not assume your AI conversations are private, especially when discussing legal strategy or sensitive facts. If it matters, talk to your attorney, not a chatbot. #litigation #attorneyclientprivilege #legaltips #aiandlaw #confidentiality lawyerlife
