This is how we fight ageism. No Botox. No fillers. No makeup. No filters. Just showing up as we are. #thefutureisageing #proaging #ageism #agism
As we age and ailments begin, we may not move like we used to but greatful to make it to this ripe age. Pro Aging #proaging #aging #over50 #over60
I’m just excited to be turning 66 in 2 months. Bring it on! 🔥 #nevertoolate #proaging #stylehasnoage #wellness #healthyaging
One of my biggest wellness goals at 61? Staying strong. 💪✨ I’ve always believed that movement is one of the best things we can do for ourselves as we age—but I’ve also learned that how we support our bodies from the inside out matters just as much. Strength training, Pilates, walking, yoga, I want to keep doing all the things I love for as long as possible. And for me, that means being consistent with movement, prioritizing protein and giving my body the nutrients it needs. Collagen is such an important part of that. We naturally produce less of it as we age, and it goes far beyond hair and skin, it’s an essential building block for our bones, joints and connective tissue. That’s one of the reasons I’ve added @elavatesuperfoods collagen to my daily wellness routine. It’s the best one I found as it combines marine, bovine and chicken collagen sources for your hair, skin, nails and bones. Since trying it I’ve noticed such a difference. Want to try it too? You can get 20% off through the link in my bio. 🤍 For me, wellness at this stage of life isn’t about trying to turn back the clock. It’s about feeling strong, energized and doing the little things every day that help me continue to feel my best. Here’s to getting stronger with age. ✨ #ad #wellnessover50 #proaging #healthyaging #collagen
For me at 75 Honest Aging means telling the truth-even when it’s uncomfortable. Aging brings gratitude and grief. You’re not alone !Looking back can feel sad. Looking forward scared. That’s why living in the present is the safest emotional space. Choose the present! #agingtruth #proaging #aging #over50 #lifereflections
At 83, I’m no longer interested in following someone else’s rules for how a woman my age should dress, look, or enjoy her life. I want to laugh more, take care of myself without chasing perfection, and keep making plans that excite me. Growing older doesn’t mean becoming smaller. It means knowing yourself well enough to stop asking for permission. ❤️ If you believe life gets more interesting—not smaller—with age, follow me @vera.inred, save this post, and share it with a woman who needs this reminder. #WomenOver70 #AgingWithStyle #Over80AndFabulous #ProAging #VeraInRed
There were lots of people of all ages camping and being in Colorado most people seem to be pretty healthy mobile and fit. But one thing that struck me, was that there were some older women, probably 10 or 15 years older than me, who seems to be struggling to get around let alone camp! And honestly, I have to admit that scared me and makes me want to work even harder on my strength, fitness and mobility as I age. I know sometimes 💩 happens, so I’m not here to shame anybody, but I am here to encourage anybody who will listen, to put the effort in now. So that in 10 or 15 years we’re not saying things like, remember when we used to do X or Y! I made a deal with my running partner that we would still be hiking together in our 80’s and I have every intention of doing everything I can to make that happen! #proaging #midlifejourney #midlifefitness #midlifestyle #thisis56
Your mindset matters…Changing your perspective changes everything! 🩷 And to the person who dm’d me that I look like Moira Rose with my feather pin, thank you I take that as a compliment 🌸
Three years ago, I had no idea I’d be making videos that anyone would actually watch. I certainly never imagined I’d be collaborating with @TedDanson and @eamphilanthropy. Turns out, you’re never too old to start something new... and you can have a ton of fun doing it. Ted’s message was a wonderful reminder that creativity and curiosity don’t have an age limit, and I’m grateful to be part of this conversation. Be sure to watch Ted Danson's full video here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DZ5VDFkpd4W/?hl=en What’s something you’ve started later in life that has brought you joy?#EAMichelsonPartner #ProAging #CreativeAging #AgingReimagined
In many African cultures, aging isn’t something to fear, it’s something to respect. It represents wisdom earned, stories lived, and a deeper understanding of life that only time can give. Not decline, but elevation. It’s time we shift the conversation. What if getting older isn’t about losing something… but becoming more of who you’re meant to be? You may want to save this one so you can practice it. All exercise is important…but this simple move is the most important and it could just save your life. 🧡 Ultimately it does not matter how you get up off the floor, as long as you can do at least one way! 🧡 This way may look simple but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s easy. 🧡 There are a few ways to get up and down off the floor without using your hands…and this is my preferred option 🧡 A lot of people naturally struggle with this simple move, usually because they don’t practice it…but it’s NEVER too late to learn and nail it! 🧡 Not being able to get up off the floor after a fall, especially as we age is one of the many reasons older people have to go into a care home….that may seem a long way off for a lot, but honestly, the earlier you can do this the better. Don’t worry if you need to use your hands at first, while you practice, but you will be chuffed when you nail it hands free! 🧡 It may be tricky at first but stick with it and keep practicing. N.B. I realise that if you have knee issues this way can be a no go, I’ve struggled myself recently, but I’ll be sharing another way soon, so please do follow. #trainingforoldage #ageinggracefully #proaging #ageing #tinyhabits
