Honestly, it’s getting exhausting. There’s so much misinformation out there, and the sad part is it often comes from people with no medical background, no accountability, and no problem telling you anything if there’s money in it. Please talk to your OB/GYN, pediatrician, and health care providers. They’ve dedicated their lives to caring for moms and kids. 💙 #rsv #ParentingWithFacts #mythbusting #misinformation #ProtectOurKids
My thoughts ⬇️ “Child on child SA is less harmful”: COCSA can be profoundly traumatic for kids, even in cases where the initiating child a) was abused themselves or b) did not understand the severity of their actions. These factors can explain the abuse, but do not excuse it, and should never be used to minimize the harm caused to the victim. “They’re so young, they won’t remember it anyways”: A growing body of research suggests that trauma, even in infancy, may lead to life-long health consequences such as an increased vulnerability to mental health issues, obesity, diabetes and heart disease. It may also disrupt early attachment frameworks, impacting relational health long-term. (Lyons-Ruth et al., 2017) Also…weird thing to say to minimize or “excuse” the abuse of littles? “Kids shouldn’t get to say no to adults”: teaching ‘blind obedience’ makes children more vulnerable to grooming tactics. “I’ve told my child I’ll ☠️ whoever hurts them”: saying this can prevent a child from disclosing. A child’s abuser is often a person they know and love, and who they do not want to see put in harm’s way. They may also fear losing you as the caregiver to incarceration. “My kid is too smart to be SA’d”: this is dangerous because it assumes intelligence protects against abuse. It also puts the responsibility on the child instead of the perpetrator, ignores the manipulative tactics abusers use, and can make children less likely to disclose abuse if it happens. Additionally, it sends the harmful message that victims who were abused must not have been “smart enough,” which is untrue and deeply stigmatizing. • • #childabuseawareness #childabuseawarenessmonth #endchildabuse #endchildexploitation #bodysafety #bodysafetyforkids #bodysafetyeducation #csaprevention #mindfulparenting #consenteducation #teachkidsconsent #childhoodtrauma #traumainformedparenting #protectourkids #childprotection #consentforkids #responsiveparenting #momtipsandtricks #consentculture #parentingtips #parentingtips101 #childsafety #bodilyautonomy #mybodymyrules #cyclebreaker #respectfulparenting #consciousparenting #consciousparent #intentionalparenting #honestmotherhood
Teaching Abeer the “pants rule” today 💛 Comment PANTS and I’ll send it to you. We kept it simple — the parts covered by your pants are private, your body belongs to you, and you can always say NO. No fear, no shame — just awareness and trust. These small conversations help kids feel safe, confident, and heard. Start early, keep it open 💬 #BodySafety #ChildSafety #ParentingTips #ProtectOurKids #safetouch

BULLYING is not a joke. CYBERBULLYING is not harmless. And silence should never be the answer. As parents, we need to pay attention. Check in on your children’s online lives. Know who they’re talking to, what they’re watching, and what kind of messages they’re receiving. Notice the changes in their behavior. Anxiety, fear, withdrawal, trouble sleeping, or suddenly not wanting to go to school can be signs that something is wrong. And please, teach your children that speaking up is not being weak. Reporting bullying is not being dramatic. It’s protecting themselves and potentially protecting someone else. Words can leave psychological scars that last for years. Threats, humiliation, intimidation, and harassment can cause real emotional trauma. There must be accountability. Those responsible for bullying and cyberbullying should face appropriate consequences. Being young does not mean being free from responsibility. To every parent reading this: listen to your children, take their concerns seriously, and don’t be afraid to speak up. Protecting our children matters more than protecting someone’s reputation. Have you ever had to deal with bullying or cyberbullying involving your child? Let’s talk about it. \#StopBullying #CyberbullyingAwareness #BullyingPrevention #OnlineSafety #ParentingTeens ProtectOurKids SpeakUp MentalHealthAwareness DigitalParenting SchoolBullying

I put this conversation off for a year. It took four minutes. Comment I'M IN if you're done putting it off too. Send this to the other person raising your kids. Save this so the words are there when you need them. Body safety cards linked in my bio. #bodysafety #cyclebreaker #momlife #gentleparenting #protectourkids
DADS, PLEASE PROTECT YOUR KIDS ONLINE. One of the largest video games in the world is facing serious concerns about how it protects children from online predators. And as a father, this absolutely blows my mind. Parents, we HAVE to wake up. Whether it’s Roblox, Minecraft, TikTok, Instagram, or any other platform where your children can communicate with strangers, you need to know who they’re talking to. There are legitimate online groups targeting children, pretending to be their friends, building trust, and then manipulating them into horrific situations. We’re talking about: * Self-harm and cutting * Sharing inappropriate photos * Blackmail and threats * Even encouraging suicide This is REAL, and it’s terrifying. Listen, they’re your kids. You get to decide how you raise them. But here’s what I believe: Our job as fathers isn’t just to provide for our children. It’s to PROTECT them. Know what apps they’re using. Know who they’re communicating with. Have the uncomfortable conversations. Set boundaries. And most importantly, build a relationship where your children feel safe coming to you when something doesn’t feel right. You cannot outsource protecting your children to a technology company. Dads, be present. Be intentional. Be their protector. Share this with a parent who needs to hear it. God bless you. 🙏 #Fatherhood #ProtectOurKids #OnlineSafety #Roblox #ParentingTips LighthouseBrotherhood DadLife
You know who uses SNAP benefits? Foster parents. The same people opening their homes and hearts to the kids we demanded be born. And now, because of this government shutdown, they’re about to lose that support in November — along with millions of other families. No funding means no groceries. No formula. No stability for the children already fighting to feel safe. We cannot claim to care about “family values” while letting the very families doing the hardest work go hungry. This isn’t politics. It’s morality. #SNAP #FosterCare #EndChildHunger #DoBetterAmerica #FoodIsAHumanRight #ProLifeUntilBirth #ProtectOurKids #FaithInAction #JesusFedTheHungry
Lots of things have to change. Most of those probably being who represents us. Because the ones that are there are clearly not listening. They pretend to care about our children. They pretend to protect them from TikTok, from drag queens, from bad school lunches…but they allow them to be slaughtered in their schools. Idk what the solution is. There isn’t a one size fits all fix. But thoughts and prayers don’t seem to be cutting it. #mommacusses #momlife #protectourkids
