So tired 🫩 anyone else? 😭 Emotional labor is real. Being present, listening closely, making decisions, and managing emotions can be meaningful…and exhausting. 😴 Being tired doesn’t automatically mean burnout, but it’s still worth noticing your needs. Breaks, manageable workloads, support, and rest MATTER. ⚠️ I can know, teach, and practice coping skills, and still need rest. Being a psychologist, mental health professional, or healthcare provider doesn’t cancel out being human. Same goes for any other profession. It’s okay to rest! Please take this as permission to rest without guilt or shame attached. Take care of your mind, Dr. Tina #mentalhealthadvocacy #therapycommunity #psychologists #therapistmemes #therapyhumor

Not everything you feel needs to be said out sometimes it needs to be understood first. The urge to bring everything up can feel like honesty, but it’s often just unprocessed emotion looking for somewhere to land. The work isn’t to silence yourself, it’s to know the difference. What actually needs a conversation & what needs your own attention first? 💭💭💭 • • #consciouspsychologist #love #couples #therapy #psychologist
Therapy is not the easy way out. It is the honest way in. It asks you to sit with the parts of yourself you have been avoiding, the emotions you have been suppressing, and the truths you have been surviving around. And yes, that can feel hard. But sometimes, what we call “hard” is actually healing knocking on the door. Because the pain you keep ignoring does not disappear. It quietly becomes anxiety, sleepless nights, emotional numbness, overthinking, anger, self-doubt, or the constant feeling that something is wrong with you. Therapy does not magically remove your pain. But it gives your pain a place to be understood. And maybe for the first time, you don’t have to carry everything alone. Healing is hard. But living your whole life disconnected from yourself is harder. . . . . . . . . . #therapy #anxiety #mentalhealth #therapist #psychologist
🧠 What Took Me 10 Years to Learn I’m a psychologist and your brain doesn’t believe what’s true. It believes what you repeat. 💬 Your thoughts shape your feelings ❤️ Your feelings drive your actions 🪞 Your actions become your identity Say something often enough with emotion and your brain starts to believe it. That’s why self-talk matters. It’s not harmless. It’s powerful. Your brain doesn’t know the difference between real and imagined. Visualise the calm, confident version of you and you’re literally rewiring your brain for it. You can’t think your way out of a feeling. But you can feel your way into a new way of thinking. Change the data. Change your future. 💭 Save, share, and remind your brain what’s possible. Want Psychology in your pocket? Comment ‘Mini’ 👇🏼

I remember a friend of mine told me (who passed away right after we completed our specialization in clinical psychology;may he rest in peace) we take care of people, it's a very hard job, who will take care of us. Being a therapist is difficult. You hear devastating stories, get to see the darkest side of people, see them going through an emotional rollercoaster. But, if things were different or I was in another universe, I'd be a clinical psychologist all over again. #psychology #mentalhealth #love #therapy #mentalhealthawareness #motivation #selfcare #anxiety #life #psychologist #mindfulness #selflove #health #depression #healing #mentalhealthmatters #psychotherapy #philosophy #psychologyfacts #quotes #art #wellness #mindset #psychologystudent #inspiration #mind #mentalillness
One of the more closely guarded secrets in the mental health profession is that therapy is not purely benevolent. Iatrogenic harm — harm caused by the treatment itself — is entirely possible in psychotherapy. That doesn’t mean experiencing discomfort in therapy is harmful. Good therapy can definitely be uncomfortable. But endlessly exploring the same material without clear goals, direction, or meaningful change can leave people feeling adrift and powerless. And that’s the kind of potential harm we should be trying to minimise. Plenty of therapists don’t practice like this, so if that’s you, ignore me. This reel is really for clients who might not realise something different is possible — and therapists for whom this might be a blind spot. —————————— My content is here to educate, entertain, and support, but it’s not a substitute for therapy. People often assume psychologists spend their days dealing with “crazy people.” That’s not how I see my work. I sit with people who are willing to look at what hurts, question patterns they’ve carried for years, understand where those patterns came from, and take responsibility for what happens next. And that takes courage. Therapy isn’t only for moments when life is falling apart. Sometimes it’s for the person who is functioning, achieving, showing up for everyone else but quietly knows there are parts of themselves they’ve been avoiding. You don’t have to be “broken” to go to therapy. Sometimes you just have to be ready to understand yourself more deeply. Allow me to re-introduce myself. 🌿 Hi, I’m Fabiha — an M.Phil. Psychologist, Behavioral Therapist, Wellness Counselor & Workshop Facilitator. I genuinely believe that mental health support should feel safe, compassionate, human, and judgment-free. My work focuses on helping individuals understand their emotions, behaviors, relationships, and the experiences that shape them — rather than simply focusing on the problem we see on the surface. Through this platform I provide online wellness counseling and create mental-health awareness content that brings psychology closer to everyday life. 🌱 I also conduct wellness workshops for organizations and communities, focusing on emotional well-being, stress management, mindfulness, and creating healthier spaces. My approach is simple: Listen. Understand. Empower. Heal. If you’ve been thinking about taking that first step toward understanding yourself better, consider this your sign. 🌿 Welcome to my space — where psychology meets empathy. 🤍 #Psychologist #MentalHealth #WellnessCounselor #BehavioralTherapy #MentalHealthAwareness
When you notice yourself starting to spiral, try this: 1. Regulate your nervous system first
When we’re overwhelmed, stressed, overstimulated, anxious, sleep-deprived, or emotionally activated, the brain naturally becomes more threat-focused. Thoughts can feel louder, more convincing, and more catastrophic. Before analysing the thought, regulate the state first:
• slow your breathing
• move your body
• get outside
• reduce stimulation
• ground through your senses
• pause before reacting 2. Challenge the thought second
Once your nervous system settles, it becomes much easier to think clearly instead of reacting from fear. Try asking yourself:
• What else could be true?
• Am I assuming or mind-reading?
• Is this fear or fact?
• What evidence actually supports this thought?
• What evidence goes against it? Our thoughts are not alwayreality — especially when our nervous system is dysregulated. State first. Thoughts second. 🧠 #psychology #selfdevelopment #psychologist #negativethoughts
