My gummy smile had been one of the biggest insecurities ever since I remember. 🤷‍♀️ I remember people saying to shut my mouth as my gums are showing up when I talk as a joke. It took a toll on my confidence. So, I went to a dentist and he told me to do some facial exercise but all in vain.🤷‍♀️ Then I got braces on and you know school kids- 'jaala lagaya hai kya?' 'taar wali aagyi' they made fun of me. And it made me more self-conscious. I swear I deleted all the pictures I had those 3 years.😕 But even braces couldn't help me fix my smile. Until one day someone took candid pictures of me when I was laughing and it turned out to be so beautiful. I saw how my laugh was one of the pretty features in me and I was stupid to hide it.🤦‍♀️ I slowly started taking pictures of myself while showing my smile. It was difficult at the start but after some time it came naturally. I can't now click pictures with a closed mouth.😂🤷‍♀️ And also, when someone says anything about my gummy smile, I answer them by smiling more widely.
