This is what happen when I quit my job as a sonographer….and where I almost gave up my quest to be a sonopreneur!
I remember the day clearly.
I had finally gotten a meeting at a clinic. I was nervous but ready.
I showed up with professionalism, confidence, and even brought lunch for the staff.
But the minute I walked in, I felt it.
The energy shifted.
They reflected me, dismissed me, and made it clear I didn’t belong there.
I left that meeting devastated.
All I could think was, “Did I make a mistake? Is this really for me?”
𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁… 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁.
Because even though that moment broke my heart, it didn’t break my vision.
I kept showing up.
For myself.
For my business.
For the sonographers coming behind me who needed to see that it’s possible.
Starting a mobile ultrasound business wasn’t just about contracts and machines.
It was about mindset.
It was about resilience.
And most of all, it was about having someone to show me the way when I felt lost in it.

🫀 Color Doppler Evaluation of the 4-Chamber Heart View
A common pitfall in fetal heart imaging is improper Color Doppler technique.
❌ Using a low velocity scale when evaluating the AV valves leads to aliasing and color overlap within the chambers—making interpretation difficult and potentially misleading.
✅ Using a high velocity scale is essential for accurate evaluation of AV valve flow and helps avoid these common artifacts.

While visiting southern Alabama this week I realized…there’s not an ultrasound service in sight!
Here’s the thing…there are small towns all over this country, miles away from major cities, that are completely underserved when it comes to imaging. No local options. No quick access. Patients are forced to travel long distances just to get basic scans.
