The hardest part isn’t leaving.
It’s admitting you stayed longer than you should have.
Not because you didn’t know…
but because you were taught to doubt what you knew.
Some lessons don’t come with noise.
They come with quiet clarity you keep trying to explain away.
If this hit you, don’t overthink it.
Just sit with it.
And if you’ve ever had to choose between keeping the peace… or keeping yourself, I want to hear from you.
What did staying too long cost you? Let’s talk about it 🫶🏽
Do not shame yourself for latching onto people who are unsafe for you.
Do not shame yourself for knowing you need to leave… and still struggling to do so.
That is not weakness.
That is what happens when you carry deep abandonment wounds.
Because it’s rarely simple.
Often, the same people who hurt you have also given you moments of connection, closeness, understanding — things you may have longed for, or rarely experienced.
And that creates confusion.
It confuses the part of you that is still trying to answer:
“Is this what love feels like?”
“Is this the best I can get?”
“Is this what I have to tolerate to not be alone?”
So you stay connected to both the comfort and the harm.
And here’s the painful truth many people don’t understand:
Sometimes, the pain of losing their presence feels far greater than the pain of enduring their toxicity.
Because that loss touches something older.
Something deeper.
Something unmet.
Shame will not heal that.
Compassion will.
Understanding will.
Gently turning towards the wound that makes their dysfunction feel familiar — and meeting it with care instead of criticism.
This is not about forcing yourself to leave overnight.
It’s about healing what makes leaving feel impossible.
So that one day, you can access the courage and clarity to choose yourself — not from pressure, but from self-trust.
Give yourself grace.
Give yourself patience.
You are not failing.
You are unlearning what once felt like home.

When my husband died, I said yes to everything.
When my husband died from cancer, I was desperate for connection.
I went to every event. I thought I was building community, however, looking back… I was just trying to not feel alone.
And when you’re in that state, you don’t always see the difference between optics and value, between inclusion and transaction, between genuine connection ,and curated proximity.
Some rooms are beautiful, some are polished and events look empowering.
But vulnerability can make you spend money just to feel like you belong.
Now?
I don’t go to everything. I don’t buy access to connection, and I don’t confuse aesthetic with alignment.
If you’re grieving, healing, lonely, and rebuilding ,
protect your vulnerability. You may not be in a space emotionally to observe critically.
Trauma making us seek external regulation. Grief makes us mistake proximity for intimacy ,and lonliness makes us spend to feel included.
You don’t need to buy belonging.
And you don’t owe every invitation a yes.
Now I’m intentional.
I don’t buy proximity.
I don’t confuse aesthetic with alignment.
If you’re rebuilding your life ,protect your heart and your wallet.

There was a moment I will never forget.
I realised I had spent my whole life taking the worse option.
The smaller piece. The less comfortable seat. The job that didn’t excite me. The relationship that didn’t fill me.
Not because I didn’t know better.
But because somewhere deep inside I had decided — someone else needs this more than me. It is my duty to step back.
It felt like selflessness.
It was not selflessness.
It was a little girl who had learned so early that her needs came last that she stopped feeling them as needs at all. She just called it her nature.
The day I understood that — I cried for a long time.
Not because I was sad.
Because I finally saw her clearly. That girl who kept giving away what was hers. Who kept making herself smaller so others could be comfortable. Who called it duty when it was actually a wound.
I am a healing coach today because of her.
And because I know exactly how many women are still living her story right now.
If you are always the one who takes less — I want you to ask yourself one question today.
When did you first decide that you deserved less than everyone else in the room?

She said, “My husband disappeared…”
12 years of marriage
Two children
A life that looked stable from the outside
And then one morning
He went for a walk
And never came back
No message
No note
No explanation
When she came to me
She was not just dealing with loss
She was trapped in uncertainty
Weeks had turned into months
Searches, calls, endless waiting
But nothing changed
And what affected her the most was not just his absence
It was the unanswered questions
Did he leave
Did something happen
Was everything real
Because when there is no closure
The mind keeps searching for meaning
And the heart keeps holding on to hope
She kept replaying memories
Looking for signs she might have missed
Blaming herself for things she could not control
In our work together
We did not focus on finding him
We focused on finding her
Helping her process the shock
Release the guilt
And slowly accept that some answers may never come
Because closure is not always given
Sometimes it is created
Created when you decide
“I may not understand this… but I choose to heal anyway”
Over time
She stopped chasing answers
And started choosing peace
That was her turning point
You do not need full clarity to move forward
You just need the strength to stop waiting

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply show up.
Sit with them, listen, remember, and remind them they’re not alone.
No perfect words. No pressure. Just love.
Check in. Stay consistent. Be gentle.
Tag someone who shows up well for others or save this as a reminder 🤍
Focusing on my 1% has been the most empowering perspective shift I’ve ever taken.
There are so many people I could point to and say they were shit to me. Those situations were not ones I deserved. And I could spend my energy solving for them, solving for why they were the way they were. But when you shift your focus to solving for you, for why you stayed, for why you remained outside of any dependency on them it really does something to you.
Because if you are completely financially independent and you are still in relationships that are not good to you, there is something there worth looking at. Even if it’s grief. Even if it’s not yet having the skills to leave situations that are harmful.
Even if it’s just that you don’t know how yet.
None of this is about blame or shame. It’s about getting busy in your own lane so you can leave what isn’t good for you and find better friends, better community.
This is what I teach. The Relational Skills for Liberation workbook will teach you how to be a discerning person how to know when to stay and when to leave, and how to actually move through the grief of leaving, because it is a grief process.

You spent months putting yourself back together. Now they want to come back.
Of course they do. Because the version of you they're seeing now? The one who stopped chasing, stopped begging, stopped making herself small to keep the peace?
The one who is glowing, growing, and finally taking up space again?
That version is magnetic. And they can feel it.
But before you reply, before you let hope override everything you've worked so hard to build, I need you to read this carefully:
✨ Ask yourself honestly, has anything actually changed? Not their words. Not their promises. Not the way they're showing up right now when they have something to lose.
Their patterns. Have those changed? Because people do not fundamentally change without doing serious, sustained work on themselves. And charm at the door is not
evidence of that work.
✨ Remember what it actually cost you to get here. The nights you couldn't sleep. The mornings you had to drag yourself out of bed. The therapy sessions, the journal entries, the moments you chose yourself when going back would have been so much easier. Do not hand all of that back cheaply.
✨ Notice what they're responding to. Are they coming back because they've genuinely done the work and they want to love you better? Or are they coming back because they don't like seeing you without them? Because watching you thrive without them has made them realise what they lost. Those are very different things.
✨ You are allowed to want them back and still say no. Missing someone and being right for someone are two completely different things. You can love them and still protect what you've built. Both are true at the same time.
✨ The healing you've done belongs to you. Not to the relationship, not to them, not to whatever future they're suddenly promising. It is yours. Protect it like the hard-won,
precious thing it is.
You don't have to decide immediately. You don't owe them an instant response.
Take your time. Trust yourself. And choose the version of your life that protects your peace.
Save this & DM me the word HEALING. I'll share my free resources to help you protect your healing and make the decision that is truly right for you.❤️
1. You’re always the one 🧡 reaching out first.
Every single time.
2. You make excuses for his behavior 🧡 to your friends.
And even to yourself.
3. You’re grateful for 🧡 the bare minimum.
And he knows it.
4. You’ve convinced yourself 🧡 “he’s just busy.”
Busy people still make time for what matters.
5. You’ve changed who you are 🧡 to keep him around.
And lost yourself in the process.
You didn’t come this far to keep accepting less than you deserve.
Save this for your healing era 🔖
There was a season in my life when I completely lost my voice.
Not physically… but internally.
The kind of silence that slowly happens when your confidence fades and you begin second-guessing everything about yourself.
In my early 20s I was in an abusive relationship that slowly chipped away at who I was.
At first it was subtle.
Little comments.
Small criticisms.
Moments that made me question my judgement.
Over time the confident woman I once was started shrinking.
😧I stopped speaking up.
😧I stopped trusting my voice.
😧I stopped believing I had anything valuable to say.
My sense of worth slowly eroded.
😭By the time things became physical, I already felt trapped, embarrassed, angry, and lost.
And if I’m honest, I wrestled with God. I asked questions like:
“Lord, why am I still here?”
“Why didn’t You bring me out sooner?”
All I could see was the broken version of myself. But what I didn’t realise then was that even though my voice had been silenced. My calling had not been cancelled.
God wasn’t finished with my story…
🥰What felt like a season of loss was actually the beginning of restoration, because before God could activate my assignment, He had to restore my identity.
Looking back now, I realise something else too.
My identity had been weakened long before that relationship… and that’s why I accepted treatment that didn’t reflect my worth.
Sometimes the greatest battle isn’t discovering our calling. It’s rediscovering who we are.
The enemy attacks your voice because your voice carries influence.
🔥But when God restores your identity, everything shifts.
🔥You begin to see yourself the way He sees you, and once that happens…
🔥You no longer shrink. You rise.
Sis, you are not just a woman trying to figure life out.
👉You are a daughter of a mighty King, and daughters of the King are not sent into assignments empty-handed.
Your gifts.
Your story.
Your experiences.
They are tools that God can use to set others free.
If you feel like you’ve lost your voice somewhere along the way but sense God calling you to more…
Comment ALIGNMENT and let’s identify the first step toward your assignment while allowing God to restore your identity.
I heard a quote today that stopped me in my tracks:
“If you play in the mud, you’re going to get dirty.”
During my separation, the best thing I did was choose not to talk trash when my ex left.
Was it hard? Yes.
Did I vent to a couple of close people? Of course.
Did I want to scream from the rooftops about how terrible things felt? Absolutely.
But I didn’t blast it online. I didn’t want to invite the world to see me at my lowest. I didn’t want to have to sit in that and be remembered for that. It felt good (and often so isolating, heartbreaking and lonely) to walk through it with very few people really knowing the truth.
But I’m so grateful I kept quiet.
Because when you pull everyone into your mess, you end up sitting in that mud with it. And that mud sticks. It takes a long time to wash off. It doesn’t feel good. It doesn’t look good. And it doesn’t actually heal anything. It keeps you in it.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
You don’t have to convince people that you were wronged. If you were treated badly, that truth stands on its own.
The truth always comes out.
So instead of getting down in the mud trying to prove your point, stay clean. Stay quiet. Protect your peace.
Trust that what needs to be seen will be seen. And remember that the truth always, always comes out.
Okayyy. LOVE YOU BYE
