New print shop coming THIS SPRING! I fell in love with risograph printing a few years ago and last year, had the idea launch the first independent riso print shop in Montana. If you like screen printing, you’ll love risograph. The inks are vibrant and the texture the machine produces is soo yummy. Each color is printed separately and layered together to allow the colors below to peak through. I’m seriously obsessed. If you’re an artist who’s interested in having your work printed with this unique method, follow along and keep an eye out for the new brand launch this spring. #risograph #printmaking #printshop #risography #illustration

Today I had a dream come true: I printed my own work in riso! I spent the whole day at the studio learning how it works and got to print in a few different ways 🥹✨ it was magical My favourite was loose sketching with #pastels in layers and then scanning them directly into the riso machine! The result was so unpredictable and fun I hope to print more stuff with riso in the future…is there anything in particular you think would look good? 🧐🤓 #whimsicalart #artvlog #artjourney #sketchwithme #kidlitillustration #illustrator #riso #risography

THE RISOGRAPH PRINT PROCESS👇 Risograph printing is an eco-friendly process that uses vibrant spot colours and stencils ~ think of it like digital screen-printing. It transfers the design onto the “master” by burning tiny holes into the master paper which is wrapped around the drum. As the paper passes through the machine, each ink drum spins at a high speed pushing ink through the holes and onto the paper. The inks come in tubes which are placed into the drum like a cartridge ~ they’re eco-friendly, non-toxic and SO BRIGHT. Risograph printing is incredibly fast and great for batches of prints and zines with tasty textures and minimal impact on the planet. #risographprinting #risographlove #risographlife #riso #print #risography #risographie #risoprintstudio Video from @peopleofprint
