Their first stop: Insta Products, where RUTF is produced to support children’s nutritional recovery. From there, they visited Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, seeing firsthand how these nutrient-packed packets contribute to a child’s recovery in just six weeks when taken as prescribed. This is threatening the lives of nearly 2 million children suffering from severe wasting. UNICEF has launched an urgent appeal for US$165 million to reach these vulnerable children.
