Presented at the Vogue Forces of Fashion exhibit at Nilaya Anthology, Mumbai, Rimple and Harpreet showcased The Eclectic Wanderer, a special installation created for the event which was a curated dialogue between fabric, form, and architecture. The structure takes inspiration from the golden spiral, a motif rooted in sacred geometry and echoed throughout history in architecture, nature, and design. Representing growth, harmony, and continuity, the spiral becomes a metaphor for the timelessness of costume and the eternal dialogue between tradition and modernity. The spiral is composed of varied materials that layer texture and craftsmanship into its form. At its core lies a golden embroidered textile, meticulously hand-worked with three-dimensional origami embellishments, mother of pearl paillettes, pearls, beads, and brass sequins. This textile is cut in the same circular manner as a lehenga, seamlessly merging couture techniques with geometric precision. The reverse of the spiral is carpeted in handwoven kilim-style patterns, recalling the wanderlust and travels across space and time. Along the pathway, layered textiles shape handcrafted motifs, and at the centre stands a mannequin body-suited in hand crafted textures made using various yarns that Rimple & Harpreet have employed through the years.
