The Art Deco tower dates back to 1933 and was built as part of a parade of shops and flats linked to a Morris car showroom known as Morris House. Most people don’t even notice this on Lowlands Road… but that tower’s been there since the 1920s. Wards Freehouse wasn’t even built as a pub, it just ended up becoming one later. One of the more random buildings in Harrow when you actually look at it. #Harrow #POV

A row of cottages on the approach to Hardmans Mill, with some gardens encroaching upon New Hall Hey Road after it had been cut by the railway. Access between the two sides of the mill complex was via a subway (left of camera), now filled in and replaced by a level crossing. rossendalesloopy.wordpress.com

There is so much character in old architecture, we are so lucky in the UK to be able to enjoy historic towns like this, my only wish is we still built them the same way… 📍Haworth, West Yorkshire
