The secret weapon is toner! These cans are convenient but do have a high VOC. If you have your own sprayer you can make your own toner using Transtint dye and dewaxed shellac. Not all stain colours look how you think… So I’m testing them — first up: Cognac water-based 🤎 Dries fast, no smell (huge bonus)… but not beginner-friendly 😅 You’ve gotta move QUICK — apply, then wipe immediately or it’ll go patchy. Do you like this colour? Would you try it? What TOPCOAT? I didn’t use any. This MDF set is painted in Tricorn Black by @sherwinwilliams in their Gallery series. I used Satin sheen. I have been using this paint for a while now and I LOVE the paint- this is not sponsored. I spray exclusively and this yields great results every time without fail.
