I’m terribly behind in my Reading Journal after having been on vacation, but at least here’s the first update of July. The monthly pages are in fact not completely done, as you can see in the end of this video but I’m working on it!
My first reads of the month were initially planned to be June reads but I ran out of time so here we are: Bride and The Little Prince. It was actually rather perfect to read The Little Prince while in France. It’s such a cute story about the things we forget when we grow out of childhood, and a good reminder to always stay curious and playful.
Bride was a book I had high hopes for and it 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱! I loved how fast paced it was and that it incorporated Hazelwood’s science nerdy stuff but in a fantasy setting.
This was also two books from my physical tbr, which felt great after reading not a single one from my own shelves during June. 😳
I have another six books to update my journal with from July, so I hope to soon get some hours to spend with my journal.

📓 reading journal planning vs. finished pages 📓
Yesterday, I shared a flip-through of some of the pages in my planning notebook. I thought it’d be nice to share the planning pages versus what the pages ended up looking like.
These are all pages in my 2026 reading journal. I have barely any planning done for my 2027 reading journal because I’m still trying to catch up on my book review journal for this year.
