Yesterday I had the privilege of recording my new work, 🍃Acceptance Does Not Mean Surrender🍃 with some of Melbourne’s most extraordinary musicians! I’m super proud of myself for reaching record-producer level 10 getting through the whole 50 minute work, less some overdubs… in half a day. But that’s also because their playing was so great 🔥 I’m super grateful to the Monash Art Ensemble, @dantanmusic, @michaeljkellett and Paul Grabowsky for their trust in me and my vision for the album. Thanks to everyone who helped out behind the scenes, especially @hadynbuxton ❤️ Making records is my absolute most favourite part of being an artist. This will be my 10th release, and my 11th I’ve produced or co-produced. This snippet here is the opening of the final movement, Radical Joy. Wait til you hear the bird calls, the synths, and most importantly, the voices of climate scientists calling us to action, and showing us how to find beauty and community in broken places 🥹 it’s all a bit much really isn’t it!
